"The first red flag is representing himself as Steve Perez on Angi’s list when in fact his name is Ziv. There’s the hard sell and false promises (finish a kitchen remodel in 5-6 weeks) when it took 4 months. Unprofessionalism is an understatement. He communicates through texting like a teenager and screams at the client when in fact errors are his fault or his sub-contractors. We provided appliance specs very early in the process and the electrician still made errors for which Ziv wanted us to pay for. The cabinets delivered were incomplete which he blamed on us. He demanded a final payment and threatened to put a lean on our house when the work was incomplete per the contract. Then Subs starting calling demanding payment which was resolved after we provided cashed checks to Sonart Construction. Don’t believe what I say. Read the BBB review complaints for a well-deserved F rating."

Karen called, and in response to my description of the issue, she told me that they don't deal with the company that made that particular motor and remote. She suggested that I call the installer who did the job. When I told her that I didn't know who that was, she took the time to look up the local distributor and suggestd that I call them for a recommendation. She was kind and caring and took a lot of time to provide advice and an explanation of what might be wrong. It was a pleasure to talk to her. If you're tackling a DIY project, expect it to take a full day for a basic seat and several days for more advanced designs that involve extra structural adjustments.
A built-in window seat that measures four feet in width will seat two adults comfortably or let one person stretch out. Ideal dimensions are 17 to 20 inches in depth and 16 to 21 inches in height to ensure a balanced design and optimal comfort. Make sure your window seat isn't higher than the bottom of your window for a harmonious look in your space.
You might need a building permit to install your window seat. Even though it's an indoor modification, some municipalities require permits for any built-in seating that is added to residential properties.
