"We bought a diamond-in-the-rough 58-year-old ranch house with a dirt crawlspace in Lake Zurich in need of many major repairs, but by far the most important was the crawlspace: a source of water, mold, dirt, odor, and humidity that made the house in its present condition uninhabitable. In a sentence, going with them was probably the single most important RIGHT decision we made with our house. A Better Crawlspace ("ABC") has earned an impeccable service record and rave reviews by customers as well as media coverage due to the extraordinary work ethic and commitment to perfection of its proprietor, Greg Mitchell. Simply put, Greg is someone who goes out of his way to give you the very best possible product that he thinks you need, and nothing more. While others would gladly have taken my money for things I didn't really need, Greg went out of his way to explain such things in detail, and how I could cut corners in cost without sacrificing quality. Mr. John Sherlock arrived at the time and date specified to give us an estimate.  He returned the following day with his assistant and performed the job in one day.  He installed 26 copper lightning rods on the flat roof of our 7,000 square foot home.  These rods were connected with 500 feet of heavy duty copper cable and were grounded at three points with ground rods going down through the drainpipes into the ground. All parts of the system were securely attached to the roof.  He did a neat job and cleaned up all excess materials.  We were very pleased with the job him did.  Since installation of the lightning rod system we have had no trouble with lightning striking the house or causing power outages or surges.
