"Kairos is owned and run by women which we appreciated when we worked with them as two women.  They were punctual, and communicative, and also just great people that I was happy and comfortable with having in my home.  All of the staff are experts in many skills, and they have extended experts- i.e. a journeyman electrician- on staff to help/consult if they run in to anything hairy at your hours- ours is old, and of course this happened.  They also educated me so that in the future I could do a lot of these jobs myself, or even related jobs based on the same skills.  When we ran in to things, I never felt like they were short cutting, or anything that would compromise the quality of the work, and rather that they were going out of their way to make sure that the work was done in a way that they would want done in their own homes.  I'd definitely use them again, and I know it'd be a great job, with some great women.

"I was recently seeking a contractor on Angi for an urgent interior paint project at my home with quick turnaround time. This bedroom paint project included wall paint (2 colors; 1 accent wall), wall baseboard trim repair + paint, door trim repair + paint, door paint, and a plumbing panel replacement + paint. When I posted the request on Angi, Eugene from Honeycomb Construction called me within a minute after posting (Wow!). I explained my situation (baby on the way/arriving in weeks, nesting) and project details, and Eugene stopped by the same day to get a good look at room needing paint + repairs. Eugene was able to meet my familyâ s needs to get this room ready within one week. Although the estimated job timeline slid out by one day due to factors out of Eugeneâ s control (cold room on the basement floor, so paint takes longer to dry between coats), he did an excellent job with all the promised work: the paints of coat were even and full, the lines between the two colors of paint were crisp and clean, and the baseboard trim was looking sharp! Eugene does great work, heâ s really responsive and communicative throughout the process, heâ s really professional, and he is very kind. "The Right Choice did an amazing job on my home renovation. They turned my old run down house into a dream house for me. They removed my wood siding and replaced it with river rock, painted the rest of the house and patio cover, took out my concrete walkway and flower bed and replaced it with a porch made from pavers. They also made a walkway down to the street. Leo was great to work with. He told me he wanted me to be happy with the job and he went above and beyond to make sure I was. The crew that worked on the house was fabulous. They worked hard, paid attention to detail and I could tell they took pride in their work. "This job was to renovate my home in preparation to sell it in early March. It consisted of a kitchen and 3 bathroom upgrade, flooring and lighting fixture replacement, painting and removal of 3 popcorn ceilings. Beginning the second week of January, the entire job was completed within 6 weeks. When first hired, the principal of Palm Construction carefully tuned in to my specific needs and targeted timeframe, offering succinct suggestions respects colors, style and quality of products used. Specialists in each trade worked cohesively with each other, as well as alongside other contractors that I had personally hired separately for windows and pool replaster. Although I had intended to live in the property during the renovation, I quickly realized that my occupancy was impeding progress, so I made the decision to vacate the premises. This was especially important during the removal of popcorn ceilings which contained asbestos. The work moved seamlessly from the removal of kitchen counters, sink, cabinet doors, appliances and flooring to the demolition of 3 bathrooms. Timely mutual decisions were made about fixtures, mirrors, flooring, sinks, vanities, paint and hardware, allowing the job to progress steadily to reach very precise goals. Along the way, it was determined that the air ducts needed replacing and AC would be a welcome addition to the total job. These issues were discussed and explained clearly and quoted at a reasonable cost - so I decided to add the change orders. Although I had never been involved with a home renovation in the past, I was very impressed with the patience and care taken to communicate with me throughout the entire job. I was a demanding customer with an expectation of perfectionism and Palm Construction was up for the challenge. Beyond the scope of the original job, Palm went above and beyond with finishing touches and little extras here and there. They've come back to help me even after completion of the job, when I needed some additional retrofits for my appliance installation, which was not even part of the original job. I know that I can count on Palm Construction to be responsive and willing for anything that may come up in the future. I learned that they are a GC that you can totally trust and rely on. In summary, I am in awe of the completed work. My friends and neighbors are astonished with the transformation of my home. The end product is flawless and most impressive. My realtor has already offered Palm Construction opportunities for other jobs. My neighbors have asked for their contact information to get quotes. I highly recommend Palm Construction for your renovation work, whether it is a large or small job. During the 6 weeks of this job, I got to know the principal, Guy Yaakov, and his team. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

Had their rep Jim H. out to our new home to do an estimate on a hybrid heat pump system and tankless water heater install. Jim was extremely professional, and laid out his recommendations in easy to understand, laymen's terms. He gave me his estimate before leaving in a very professional presentation with no pressure whatsoever to sign anything yet. Vaughn Mechanical offered great extended warranties and superior duct cleaning and prep packages included in their quote, not to mention a couple of helpful discounts. They freely coughed up references upon request, which checked out well. Although we ended up awarding the bid to a different contractor, I would highly recommend including Jim H. and Vaughn Mechanical on anyone's short list of HVAC contractors to consider for their next project."
