"I took my car to Alexander's after reading other reviews on Angie's List because I try to avoid going to the dealerships at all costs (Mainly because of the cost!). I was a little hesitant when we dropped the car off at night to be serviced in the morning because the place isn't the most visually appealing. Boy am I glad I didn't change my mind. Steve and Kyle found that my air hose was cracked in multiple places which is what was causing my check engine light to come on and the violent idling my car was experiencing. They kept me in the loop each step of the way, calling to inform me of the problem and the solution. They didn't try to sell me a bunch of additional services that I would have had a hard time denying. Overall these are two great mechanics running a professional shop with great customer service. 
I will definitely be taking my cars back for any and all mechanic needs in the future. Highly recommended.

"Excellent. From the owner Mitch to the salesman George to Nick and his Dad who did the actual installation, all were professional and good to work with. Their price was the best of the 3 bids I got, although to be fair the comparison was not apples-to-apples among the 3 contractors. One bid used aluminum-clad wood, another a composite; Thermal bid using triple-pane solid vinyl windows.They were careful checking the measurements and kept us posted on progress. Nick and his Dad worked quicklly, even in 90+ heat, usually leaving early afternoon. They were good about cleaning up -- no debris left over. They were also good about keeping the inside of the house clean and meeting EPA requirements to avoid spreading lead dust (our house is over 80 years old). Took them about 5 days to install after the windows were manufactured. No complaints at all. Hope I never have to do any of this again, but I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone who needs window replacement."

"I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for $99.00 which was for only the walls of the room.  I decided to have the all of the other areas i.e. trim, doors, ceiling painted also and purchased the additional service from Protect and Preserve to be performed when the walls were painted.
Mr. Sperback and his team arrived at 8:00 am just as he said they would do.  He and his team were very courteous and professional.  Mr. Sperback confirmed the work that would be performed prior to beginning the job.
I am very happy with the result.  He and his team are very detail oriented.  Rather than taping around the door knob, they removed and reinstalled it after the door was painted.  The room was completely finished within about 4 hours.  They cleaned up everything prior to leaving so one would ever know anyone had been here to paint that day unless aware that I had it done then.
I am very pleased with the work Mr. Sperback and his team performed and am working with him to have other painting performed this summer.
I'd like to add that I had to reschedule the painting a couple of times.  Mr. Sperback was always understanding and willing to reschedule to another time.  I would highly recommend Paint and Preserve Painting to any one thinking of having any painting performed.

"Came out and checked out the chimney - chase cover had rusted and was letting water leak in ( had some staining on my ceiling ). Gave me a fair quote, had a custom stainless steel cover fabricated and installed quickly. They did a great job and would hire again."
