"Very positive experience. They helped me with wall fishing, replacing a HDTV lamp, and installing an undermount tv in the kitchen. They completed each project and did a grea job of cleaning up afterwards. the kitchen tv project was tricky because the comcast box is in different room and this involved an A/V input device. We are happy with the service and would use them again."

"Konstantin reponded immediately to my inquiry and arranged to arrive and provide a bit proposal in a very reasonable time frame. He arrived on time as scheduled and explained what would be done and what materials would be used for each project. Within a couple of days he sent me (via e-mail) a bid proposal for each project. The proposals contained the material cost as well as the labor cost and were very reasonable. I have used other contractors listed and reviewed by Angies List and have been very happy with them. Information provided on K&I was very helpful and a deciding factor on selecting K&I. Konstantin and Igor arrived as prearranged for the projects. Konstantin again explained what he was going to do and what materials were to be used. They immediately discussed what they were going do and began pulling wires and had the outlet up and working in a very short period of time. In the condo they again discussed, with each other, the work to be done. Before cutting into walls and removing a small amount of sheetrock, Konstantin explained what they were going to do and confirmed with me before the work began. Walls were cut in the bedroom as well inside the closet with very little mess and done professionally. A nearby bedroom outlet was used for power and the hot wires were pulled through the walls up to a newly installed light switch and then to the new installed ceiling light fixture. All the work was professionally done and they cleaned up afterward. I would not hesitate to contact K&I for any other electrical work I would need to have done."

FAQs for home theater system or media center installation projects in Menlo Park, CA

For those on a budget, a home theater system can be installed for as little as $5,000. This simple setup, which doesn’t require professional installation, includes essential components that provide reliable visual and audio performance. It's a budget-friendly way to enjoy movies, TV shows, and live events from the comfort of your home.

Plan to spend at least $70,000 for a high-end home theater. At this price point, you’re paying for advanced components, including flagship projectors, reference-grade speakers, dedicated subwoofers, robust A/V receivers, and professional installation. These features deliver outstanding picture quality, rich surround sound, and a polished finish. Costs climb quickly when you add custom seating, acoustic treatments, and smart-home integration, so ask your installer for a detailed estimate before committing.

The ideal screen size for optimal home theater viewing ranges between 100 and 120 inches. A well-proportioned home theater room measures 24 feet by 15 feet, with a minimum ceiling height of nine feet. However, smaller spaces, such as 15 feet by 20 feet or 10 feet by 12 feet, can also work well. These dimensions enhance acoustics and visual performance, creating an immersive entertainment environment.

A well-built home theater room should last as long as the house, but the electronics inside need periodic attention. Plan to review your equipment every four to five years to see whether new formats, connection standards, or performance upgrades justify a change. Upgrading outdated projectors, receivers, or streaming devices keeps the system running efficiently and prevents compatibility issues, all while protecting the investment you’ve already made in the space.
