"They have previously replaced one of the pieces of wood that broke off the gate and they have worked on the gate when it would not open (determined there was a defect due to the cold) and replaced the defective part.  We have always been happy with their work. I think it is a fairly small company so sometimes they can't get out same day but they have kept us informed of their status.  We would definitely use them again!

"Adrien Tavarez did a wonderful job! 10/10 would highly recommend him and his company. The job was done within an appropriate time window and was completed accurately. Communication was great, and we are very happy with our new garage opener. He also installed a key pad upon our request, which I am very happy that he was willing to accommodate."

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"I hired them to repair the springs on my garage and also take a look at my mother's garage to get it tuned up and safely operating. The technician was very knowledgeable and had every part needed right there on his vehicle. He repaired the issue but also took his time to evaluate the entire door to make recommendations for continued smooth and safe operation that would also cut future costs of a catastrophic failure. For my mother's garage he tightened all the nuts and bolts, adjusted the chain got better operation, re-calibrated the motor and lubricated all the moving parts. Both garages have been performed ingredients exceptionally ever since."

"We hired him to help us sell our old house. We showed him where we wanted the paint and repairs done. He gave us a price and we were surprised how affordable. He showed up on time and worked so quickly and accurately. We would ask him if he knew how to do a job, like cover the holes from the old furnaces, and he would charge a good price, and fix it so awesome. He showed us all the little flaws in the house and just fix them. He was always polite, professional , and funny. When he finished, we weren't sure if we still wanted to sell, because it looked so wonderful! But, our house sold very quickly and we got $10,000.00 more than originally set.

We just recently hired him to replace our old wooden fence at our new house. That took a lot of work, it was very hot, and there was tons of rocks in the ground. He didn't charge us extra for that, but he should have. We love our new metal fence. It looks so much better than before. He really like this guy and we always recommend to our family and friends."

FAQs for garage door opener installation and replacement projects in Midland, TX

A chain-drive opener costs less, but it’s louder and needs more upkeep. If your budget allows, a belt-drive model is often the smarter long-term buy, especially for an attached garage with a bedroom above where noise matters. The decision between a chain or belt opener comes down to your budget and needs, and your garage door opener installer can help you choose an option that best suits you.

Choosing the right horsepower for your garage door opener is crucial for safe and efficient performance. Your garage door’s design and material determine the required horsepower. A single-car garage demands a half horsepower rating, while a two-car garage requires a rating between three-fourths and 1.25 horsepower. Selecting the proper power level ensures optimum performance and durability over the life of the opener.

Plan on a quick garage door tune-up once or twice a year. Tighten the chain or belt, lubricate moving parts, test the safety sensors, and swap out weak batteries in the remotes or backup unit. A few dollars in lubricant and 30 minutes of work can fend off costly repairs, keep the door running smoothly, and help the opener hit its full life expectancy.
