"Dave at Princess Anne Contracting is personable and professional; certified and ethical. A few months ago, I had a small roof leak after a storm. I had contacted a different company and they tried to take advantage of me. The dishonest company quoted me $7,000 and said the back half of the roof needed to be replaced. I knew this was false because I had a home inspection two months earlier and the inspector said the roof had several years left. I contacted Princess Anne Contracting based on a neighbor’s recommendation. Dave promptly came out and quickly identified the problem - a small piece of flashing had come loose. Dave immediately fixed the flashing, also fixed a shingle he noticed was coming loose and even cleaned out a gutter that he noticed had some debris in it. It only cost $125. Dave saved me $7,000 dollars that the unethical company tried to charge. Dave assured me that the roof still had several years before it needed to be replaced. And, I’m happy to say that several months later, Dave’s repair held up like a champ while the remnants of Hurricane Ian passed through last night! Quality work at an affordable price. "These guys were amazing. Stripped off entire backside double layered shingles. Installed ridge vent, removed old box vents, replaced significant sections of roof boards and then reshingled entire back roof all in 1 day. Then did all house trim repair, wrapping, new gutter installation with leaf guards... in 2 Days. They were reasonably priced for the very high quality and efficient work they performed. I did not meet the roof crew, but their work was excellent. The man who did the trim work and wrapping is an artist....superior work. Did not see the crew that installed the gutters and leaf guards, but the product and the installation is excellent. Obviously, I am extremely happy with the quality of work done by this company and will unquestionably use them again if the need arises."

She is personable, professional, and knowledgeable. The well-manned roofing team arrived on the day stated and completed most of the roofing in one day. The roofers had been trained by HCR and were not day-laborers or sub-contractors. They returned early the next morning and completed their work in a couple hours. No unpleasant surprises here! "Jimmy Koehler from General Home Improvements (GHI) arrived Monday, 15 May on time as discussed and commenced working. Jimmy began by replacing the fascia board directly above the front porch steps and then proceeded to replace the frieze board on the right side of the porch. We had discussed replacing the left porch post, but Jimmy was able to repair it and saved us money in the process. On Tuesday, 16 May Jimmy finished the work on the porch, including priming the new boards, and then moved to the back deck. He replaced the side board on left side of the back door leading to the deck with a composite board and then moved on to replacing three deck boards that had rotted. Upon removing the board Jimmy discovered that some of the support boards underneath had also rotted and we ended up replacing five boards, which entailed removing the right side of our surround privacy partition that we had installed when we had a hot tub on the deck. In the end Jimmy had to remove two more deck boards for a total of five and then replaced the support?bracing underneath. The fifth board had to be ripped due to the space was about half of what the other boards measured. Since we were not putting in another hot tub Jimmy asked us if we wanted to open up the space and he built an addition to fit/mesh in with the other railing section. The work was excellent and the deck looks great. Jimmy Koehler is truly a Master Carpenter. If you want cheap then GHI is probably not for you, but if you want outstanding quality craftsmanship and a Master Carpenter to complete the work, for a good value, then call GHI. Our original agreement was for $800.00 plus materials. In the end, due to the extra deck work we paid $1400.00 plus $233.00 for materials for a total of $1433.00. In the future I will call Jimmy Koehler for all of our carpentry needs."
