The details:Just a few hours before I had to leave on a flight out of the country, I discovered that my water heater was leaking when water was coming up through the seams of my laminate flooring. I only had time to turn off the main water shut off valve and the circuit breaker before heading off to the airport. Once I reached my destination, I did some research on Angie’s List hoping to find a good one-stop-shop company who could take care of both the mold/water remediation and the reconstruction… I was lucky to have found AW Martin who exceeded my expectations. I contacted AW Martin after hours and reached an answering service. Tony Martin returned our call within minutes. He was patient and answered all of my questions. He explained that he would deal directly with my insurance company so I wouldn’t have to while on vacation. Within a couple hours he and his crew began working on the mold/water remediation portion. My dad relayed to me that they worked until 2 am and that they were extremely careful when moving my fine china from the sideboard into the dry kitchen. They protected all of my large furniture with plastic sheeting and floor protectors. They also used plastic to wall off the upstairs and my kitchen to prevent the dust from traveling too much. They ripped up all the wet flooring and drywall as well as scrubbed the mold and sprayed. They brought in industrial blowers to dry out the house. The next day they returned to the house and Tony met with my insurance adjustor to review the damage and discuss numbers. He was able to agree upon a number so that I didn’t have to worry about that while I was on vacation. I was able to witness the care and attention to detail firsthand during the rebuild process. Christian, Chris and Olger were polite and a pleasure to deal with. Christian always answered my phone calls and was able to answer any of my questions or concerns. He was the one that suggested the upgraded baseboards and it has made such a difference. His team’s wall prep and paint job was meticulous; no paint drips or messy edges. I did a couple of upgrades with the flooring, the recessed lights, and the baseboard where I had to pay more than what insurance covered… but the end result was well worth it. I would not hesitate to hire them again. I will recommend them to my friends and family."

JA Drywall installed framing and drywall throughout my second floor (three bedrooms + hallway) that had experienced a fair amount of water damage as the result of a leaky roof. Juan and Joshua were great coordinating the project--super quick response time for a walk-through & estimate. And the crew were great---super nice guys who did a great job. (One of them even lent me a tool to help with a project I was working on in the kitchen!) Both my carpenter and painters were impressed with their work. "They really are not that good because the work they did started to deteriorate quickly after they did it. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. The price was very reasonable and they also did some exterior painting for me as well. The interior painting was not as professional as I thought it could have been but they were quick to respond to my needs. They were punctual."

"John was excellent to work with and was very professional.  We were in process of re-doing our MBR walk-in closet and we had removed floor to ceiling mirrors attached to the wall and doors.  I had asked him to put up door trims, re-hang the closet doors, replace the door knobs, help re-finish/restore/sand down the doors and dry-wall (from all the leftover glue) and paint if time permitted (we had purchased a 4 hour deal from Angie's list).  John did a fantastic job completing everything except for the painting because the dry-wall spackle needed to dry over a longer period of time - not a big deal to us since painting will be easy.  John did cut the trims too short, but he took the initiative to run to HD and get replacement door trims.  Everything was in place and cleaned up by the time the 4 hours was up.  Thanks again, John!
