"The individual that did the consult was very knowledgeable and helpful. The work took 8 days. I would highly recommend just buying new cabinets. The mess after the sanding and install was more than I expected. Some of the cabinets were left with debris and a considerable amount of dust in them, the shelves were not sanded on the ends where they were cut, leaving splinters and the sawdust was in the stove, dishwasher, cabinets that were covered and in the adjoining room. The craftsmanship turned out nice but noticeable that the edges were resurfaced. Itâ s hard to resurface cabinets that are old. The new doors cover the refacing. I feel the pricing is way to high for this type of project."

"Last year we met and contracted A Cut Above Carpentry to do a full kitchen remodel. (Their estimate and timeline were very reasonable.) Because of delays in appliance deliveries (ordered by us not the contractor), we had to reschedule 3 times. A Cut Above was understanding and accommodating. When our project finally began, we quickly saw we had made the right choice. Marcy, the office manager, was professional, fantastic at communicating all steps, costs and information on the remodel and just checking in on the progress. "We chose Capital Cabinet Refacing to do our small condo kitchen for their pricing. They were much more affordable than the big box stores, and it’s nice to do work with a local business. They offer a lifetime warranty on the cabinets that is transferable to the next owner, just like the box stores. The only down side was the color selection for laminate cabinets was not as large, but we were able to find something that worked for our taste. We had our initial appointment in mid to late April and our cabinets were installed mid June. We were getting the cabinets done for ourselves and were not in a hurry. We were also told in advance before we even signed a contract the wait time would be long due to their high volume of projects. However, it only took them one day to do our small project and I’m pleased with the outcome. I would definitely recommend them, but just make sure to factor in at least 6 weeks for the job to be completed."

"They were very easy to work with.  We took on some of the responsibility of the demolition of the bathroom to save money, and they were ok with it.  But when we ran into problems with the shower pan, we worked out a deal to have them remove it.  We also were planning on installing the tile ourselves, but then asked them to do it because of time.  It's funny because I hate it when people change plans on me too much, but they seem to be ok with it.  We installed the toilette, sink and remaining tasks like painting and wainscoting.  This was done to save money, not because they couldn't do it.  Also, this bathroom remodel occurred  the winter when Baltimore had more snow than Buffalo, NY.  We originally asked they have this remodel complete in time for our daughter's birthday, but with all the snow, I told them it was ok if there was some date slippage.  They had the bathroom completed in time.  Also, they even came back to seal the grout in the tile. We use them again for the installation of 3 ceiling fans in 3 of our bedrooms.  They had it completed in a day., no problems.  They pretty much handle anything indoors, including doors, but they didn't do exterior work.  So if we have anything we need we'll call them again.  "
