"I would give Angel and his crew a 10! They are that good. Very dependable, knowledgeable and professional. Showed up on time and worked 8 hours or 9 hours a day. Prices are fair. I will definitely hire Angel for any home renovations I have in the future. Completes the job to your satisfaction. Plus, they are just nice and courteous guys. Mina, Ocean City, NJ"

"They always came on time everyday and the work was completed exactly as the time frame they estimated. The bathroom came out amazing, some little details did not come out as expect due to the building structure, that is understandable. Overall, everything came out exactly we have planted out and Harry always put the customer needs first. I changed the design I want in the middle of renovation, he did not give any excuses, and just go ahead and adjust the plan to my needs."

"Niko and Walt did an excellent and professional job of tearing out and installing a new backsplash in our kitchen and tile floor in our laundry room. The work was done promptly, clean and at a reasonable price. Will definitely use them again in the future if needed."

Small jobs welcome

"After I called and scheduled a time to review the work.... He absolutely showed-up on time!!! Remarkable, as others that were called either never returned my calls or failed to keep their appointments. Best thing, he's a nice guy, extremely professional, and knows how to do the work. His pricing was significantly less than others contacted; moreover, he fairly estimated the work and price. Others contacted wanted to do full window replacements, that was a rip-off vs. Bill who advised us to simply retrofit the leaking window and not do a full replacement, saving us hundreds of dollars."

"Arius is a life saver... literally. I had just purchased a new home and was having some renovations done. Simple as they may have seemed, it involved moving a door in the hallway a few feet. Had I not called Arius in for a review, the contractor I had hired (who was a great GC and very professional to deal with by the way) would have made a grave error which would have resulted in major structural integrity failure costing tens of thousands of dollars to repair. The Arius team was quick, responsive and one of the best experiences I had in dealing with contractors and engineers."

"Rick from RJC Improvements promptly called once contacted and was available within a day or so. He arrived as promised gave an estimate and we scheduled the work. He called to keep me up to date on his arrival time and called to advise when the the work was completed. He also called several days later to assure all was working well. Rick did a great job and I would refer him to friends, gladly. The pricing was reasonable, great prompt service and good timing. Could not be happier."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse building service projects in Somers Point, NJ

Most sheds larger than six feet by eight feet require a foundation to remain level and dry. A compact tool shed might get by without one, but anything heavier should sit on at least a 4-inch-thick stone-and-gravel pad that extends two feet past the walls. The gravel protects wood skids and promotes drainage. If you want maximum stability—and your budget allows—a poured concrete slab is the strongest option.

Your ideal shed size hinges on purpose. A common 10-by-12-foot kit gives you 120 square feet—plenty for lawn tools and bikes. Need just a spot for a mower and a few rakes? A compact 4-by-7-foot model should work. If you’re envisioning a workshop or hobby room, look at 12-by-16 feet or larger.

A good rule is to raise the shed floor four to six inches above the surrounding soil. That clearance encourages water to drain away instead of pooling beneath the structure. The simple step is especially important for wood floors and skids, helping deter rot, mold, and insect damage while extending the life of your new outbuilding.

Choose the route that fits your goals. Prefab sheds arrive in standard layouts and go up fast—perfect for basic storage on a tight timeline. Custom builds cost more and take longer, but let you add windows, wiring, plumbing, and unique finishes. Balance budget, features, and timeframe before deciding which type of shed is best for your needs.
