"Following contact, the contractor unknown to me, provided several reasons to proceed with the project I had been contemplating having done by a local contractor for the past year and badly in need of attention. As the contractor and I walked the limits of the work required, he pointed out numerous areas of potential problems with an explanation of the prudent selection of materials that would be advantageous for me to utilize of which his company have been utilizing for several years with excellent results and reviews. Following the promise to call, should I be interested in having them complete the project, I research the BBB for reviews, which exhibited an extremely scathing review, consequently I did not call the Gorman contractor, however the contractor representative followed up the call with a visit to inquire as to my reason for not returning the call. When I explained to him my reasons for not calling, he was extremely shocked and reported my find to the contractor Robert Gorman who himself was unaware of the BBB review and was equally shocked with my find. Consequently, we had a long telephone conversation after which I was satisfied enough to have them perform the repairs which I had not planned and was quite reluctant due to my financial status and worked with me in order to have the project completed while the weather was still cooperating. I was very skeptical till the completion and still rather in question, however upon inspection the next day, saw a moderately heavy SUV come up the driveway, turn around and go back out without any serious effect, was satisfied that all that the contractor stated during our walk-around was quite accurate as far as I could see. In any case, I feel as of now that this General Contractor, Robert Bartley Gorman is a man of his word and the contractor in our town Henry Gorman is definitely a PRO and the BBB review should be reviewed for accuracy and expunged from public view. Thank you for allowing me to voice my concerns and skepticism. Contact by Henry was early Thursday, BBB review performed that evening, Henry followed up his call Friday AM, Robert called me 10 minutes after Henry evidently advised him of my concerns, Robert called Henry to commence repairs, started soon after lunch and had completed repairs and sealing by 14:30 and I utilized the driveway to garage the vehicle by 21:30. Very pleased with the whole event of the process. BZs to the crew and Robert Gorman."

"The Right Choice did an amazing job on my home renovation. They turned my old run down house into a dream house for me. They removed my wood siding and replaced it with river rock, painted the rest of the house and patio cover, took out my concrete walkway and flower bed and replaced it with a porch made from pavers. They also made a walkway down to the street. Leo was great to work with. He told me he wanted me to be happy with the job and he went above and beyond to make sure I was. The crew that worked on the house was fabulous. They worked hard, paid attention to detail and I could tell they took pride in their work. Leo communicated on an almost daily basis and made sure I understood the process. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend Leo and this company."

FAQs for asphalt sealing projects in Spokane Valley, WA

If you live in a mild climate, you may only need to seal the surface every three years. If you live in extreme heat or cold, you should seal your driveway every other year to protect it from sun or winter weather damage. Consider the frequency of sealing a driveway when purchasing a home in an area with extreme weather.

Sealing your driveway between spring and fall in optimal warm and dry weather conditions maximizes its protection and extends its lifespan. Moderate temperatures allow the sealant to bond properly with the asphalt surface, ensuring a durable seal. Avoid sealing during extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow, as these conditions can prevent the sealant from curing correctly.

An asphalt filler sealer is a product that fills cracks while simultaneously sealing the asphalt surface, providing comprehensive protection in one application. It's ideal for repairing minor damage and preventing future issues. When selecting the best asphalt filler sealer, consider factors such as drying time, durability, environmental impact, and compatibility with your existing asphalt. Choose a high-quality product that fits your budget and meets your driveway's specific needs to ensure long-lasting results.

Maintaining your coated blacktop is essential for its longevity. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year using a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove dirt, debris, and stains. Reseal the surface when required, every two to three years, to keep it protected. Avoid parking on a newly sealed driveway for at least two weeks. Prevent oil and gas spills, and promptly repair cracks or damage to prevent them from worsening. Removing snow and ice promptly can also protect your asphalt from freeze-thaw damage.

Preventing cracks in your driveway starts with regular maintenance. Clean your driveway thoroughly twice a year to remove debris and identify any budding issues. Seal your driveway every two to three years to protect it from water infiltration, UV damage, and wear from traffic. Promptly repair any small cracks to prevent them from expanding. Avoid parking heavy vehicles on the edges of your driveway and ensure proper drainage to reduce stress on the asphalt or concrete. These proactive steps help maintain the integrity of your driveway and extend its lifespan.

Absolutely. You don't need to be restricted to the standard blacktop asphalt. These days, you can find this material in exciting colors like brown, white, green, brick, terracotta, and more. If you have a color in mind, shop around to find the option that suits your vision for your asphalt driveway.
