"This is our second time working with Empire Home Remodeling. We purchased windows and a sliding door back in 2021. Now we are on the market for a front door. Alec came out (same guy after 2 years) on his day off (birthday) to work with us. The products shown were great (variety and quality) and the price is fair compared to the competion. Highly recommend this company."

"Walter was great. I had him paint all of the rooms in my house to get it ready for sale. He showed up when he said he would and did a great job. When I got sick he was very flexible in coming back later to finish up. I would absolutely hire him again!"

"We had over 30 windows, a slider, and our front door replaced. The window quality and workmanship was excellent! Plus, only 3 guys completed the job in 3 days. We love our new windows and doors!"

"Very professional! A complete kitchen remodel, including granite countertops, in just two weeks! He knew all the best local places, listened to what we wanted about layout, coloring, and lighting, and brought all the pieces together to minimize the amount of downtime for our kitchen. All that for a better price than what other contractors were estimating. We'll be asking them first, the next time we need something done."

"Abner and his team were a pleasure to work with. They added a concrete pad to our existing concrete patio and did a great job. Abner communicated well and frequently, was always on time, and was cordial and polite. This also applies to his team who were very friendly. They worked fast, were thorough, and did not cut any corners. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"Tom started with a closet and then added redoing the bedroom with a lot of detail he suggested. Then a Rec Room was created with a bar and beautiful wood detail. Tom does great work! Love the added space and beautiful details."

"Technician Theo arrived on time and performed the furnace tuneup in a prompt manner. I had received a call from the office to let me know what time Theo would arrive. I appreciated this courtesy. Other businesses give you a time window and the tech often arrives at the end. Very frustrating when you are waiting."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
