"Went fairly well. Jack was very responsive via text and emails. I had to change the move date and he happily accommodated me. Jack gave me a binding quote for the job and that's what I paid at the end. The movers came in on time and handled everything as Jack had suggested. They disassembled and reassembled any thing that needed to be. I even added an item last minute. Called Jack to let him know. He said no problem, no charge. Only thing I would say was that they ran out of the plastic carpet cover by the time we went to the new house. I suggest they keep an extra roll or two in the truck, just in case. Very satisfied with overall service. However, let me tell you, moving is not cheap."

But Maxwell who scheduoed and priced my move called and asked me if I could change my appointment time from 9am to 1-3pm cause another job needed 4 trucks instead of 2. I agreed to help them out. Well that backfired on me! It turned into a rainy day with a storm coming. I had to travel from LI to NJ during rush hour with 2 cats. I left things behind because of these circumstances I have to go back now to get them from my neighbor. $25 Just in tolls! "The efforts of the movers who packed up my home went well; After speaking to Eli, I opted for the services that grouped my items for an interstate move, that stated items would arrive between 8-10 business days of the earliest move in date; after giving the date, it required several calls to coordinate the actual day. The second set of movers arrived at the appointed time then angled for a tip stating that there was an elevator charge of $300 (would it have been better to use the stairs to a 4th floor apt). Two small incidents with the move in-2 pieces of furniture were damaged, which I filed with the moving company, 3 months later no word on that claim, and, the movers failed to wash their hands after using my bathroom. Going forward, To have better control over the delivery and quality of work of the move effort, on both ends, I found it easier to coordinate the 3 phases of packing, moving and unpacking on my own; and hopefully I will see the funds from the insurance claim."
