  Comment: Water is coming through my basement door. It never floods but I had to rip up half of the carpet and padding in that room downstairs. I think it's coming through my basement door because the water is always most damp there and that's where the water stains were the most prevalent. In addition, the wood peices that were used to nail the padding and attach the carpet were most rotted in front of the door.
