"I urge everyone to take a look at their HVAC/furnace/boiler/ etc. and if you are staring at it, the way I was, screaming WHAT THE HECK, call Kyle. If you are Youtube how to splice wires to install that smart thermostat, stop it, call Kyle. Seriously, just call Kyle. You hear the horror stories, I called for what I thought was $X and the HVAC tech came and now I have a $200X invoice. That is not the case with Kyle. I have been there, do-it-yourself projects exist, but your heating and cooling is not one of them. Do not believe me, call around; then call Kyle, then call Kyle back because you realize he is available, upfront, and transparent. That is what I did. Kyle helped me demystify my heating and cooling system. Now I stare at my HVAC system, knowing what is what, and how I can quickly troubleshoot it and maintain it. What surprised me the most, this is not what Kyle was required to do. He came to help us with something unrelated. Nevertheless, he stayed late, and answered all the questions my wife and I had; we had a lot. It felt like we had a friend over the entire time. Sure enough, that's how it felt when he left. In conclusion, thank you Kyle for being genuinely you; kind, courteous, and professional. "Initial phone call with owner made me feel at ease in a stressful situation (furnace stopped working a few days before temps were forecasted to drop into the 10 - 20 range. He explained their approach, process & commitment to fairness & honesty. While this could just be a good sales pitch, it felt sincere & I came to realize they truly stand by those values. They were able to get a tech over to my house that same day, & after only 20 min, the problem was diagnosed (gas valve had died). No upselling, no fear mongering about other what ifs that they could also help with now. Just straight to the point & a plan to return & replace the part the following day. Sure enough, the next morning, a tech was back out to my place with the replacement part. He had it installed & the heat back on in 30 min. Communication was excellent throughout the process, with standard updates via email/text & conversational updates by phone. Top notch company. Would definitely recommend working with them!"

"My mother's boiler unexpectedly broke down and Home Advisor recommended Challenger Heating & Air. I spoke to the owner Jorge, who was very patient, answering all my questions and concerns. He explained the procedure and the required parts necessary prior to the install. Jorge and his crew, Chris and Christian were very courteous, performed a high quality installation and cleaned the area upon completion. After the system was fired up, Jorge checked all the radiators and made adjustments to ensure proper efficiency. In addition he repaired her toilet water line free of charge. The price was very fair. I would not hesitate to hire Challenger again and highly recommend their company for any HVAC needs. Excellent job!"

"In October 2018, I was on the market to replace my 30+ furnace and 15+ AC. There were 6 dealers representing two brands visiting my property. I was shocked to learn that 5 were not able to properly size equipment, didn't include ductwork modifications and refused to replace Freon and drain lines. Some were unwilling to talk about differences between product lines, nor modifications to ducts I wanted to implement. On top of all that their quotes were outrageously high. Arthur A. from American Dream Heating and Cooling representing Trane was the only HVAC representative who was able to explain a proper equipment sizing (not just by square footage, but supply vs. return), features and cost savings of new versus old HVAC equipment, and he did it all in a very simple way. He was punctual and very professional. His quote listed much better warranties compared to others and overall it met my costs expectations. On a designated day, Arthur A. and his team arrived on time, worked cleanly, kept me updated on the work progress and finished install by the promised time. They found and fixed flaws within the air supply line and added modifications to ducts as I requested. Upon completion of a new install, Arthur walked me through equipment, upkeep and thermostat's settings. "Short version: Professionalism, competency, and integrity is what you can expect from RJK. When our AC stopped working, another company came out to investigate and we were quoted an outrageous temporary repair cost and were advised to replace the whole system. We called RJK and they called back almost immediately. Upon arriving, they advised that a whole system replacement would be unnecessary for starters. But before even doing that, they wanted to have their techs double check that the system was truly in need of any replacement. Turns out the fix was straightforward and within 30 minutes the system was repaired at a fraction of the cost of the original contractor's quoted repair cost and definitely cheaper than a whole new system."

"The owner came to my house on a Sunday, no charge, and reviewed the situation with my 25 year old boiler. We had no heat or hot water, and he saw the problem immediately. He did not guarantee success, but he said the unit had a 50/50 chance of being repairable. This meant a lot as other companies just wanted to sell a new furnace. He told me had a Tech with the skill set to fix my issue, and the man he sent delivered big time! The boiler helped by being repairable, but the Tech knew what to do and he even told me before starting it was possible it might not work. I appreciated their transparency. They were not trying to sell me a new furnace for 1000s of bucks.
