"I received an absolutely beautiful fence from Artistic Fence! It was also done at an excellent price in a very quick timeframe. I cannot tell you how good it feels to be able to wholeheartedly recommend this fence contractor. Do not let the young appearance of the owner mislead you. Geronimo Mata knows what he is doing, both as a business owner and as a fence builder, and he is a man of his word (he does what he says he will do). He is completely involved in every step too:Â he meets you to look at the needs of your yard or site, gets you a proposal quickly (provided the same day for me), and as an unusual bonus he is right there with his guys doing the actual work, making sure it is done to his demanding standards. He is also a very personable and approachable man; his workers are very respectful and friendly too. Geronimo also gave me great advice on what would look good and what would be effective. One example of this: I originally imagined the new fence would have a flat top that followed the slope of my yard; he recommended a stair-step top (which turned out to be much more attractive). He also recommended that the gate open inward to the backyard (keeping the hinges facing in toward the backyard, a security feature that prevents the hinges from being unbolted by someone on the outside). Geronimo was always on time or early. On our first meeting, to let him take a look at our original backyard fence, he was 15 minutes early. He took his time looking at our yard (spending about an hour with me), noticing small items like 2x6 retaining walls near the bottom of the existing fence that should also be replaced. He described the process fully so that I would know what work he would be doing. He projected that he could start two weeks from that day, but he was actually able to move that start date up by a full week. Artistic Fence had the fence completed in three days (other contractors quoted four days). To give you an idea of the amount of work involved, consider all of this: I had 214 total linear feet of fence; my backyard had slopes to it (that required many steps in the fence); I had terraces in my yard and at the yard of my east neighbor (that required deeper posts); one neighbor had a tree that had grown into the original fence (that needed to be trimmed back); several neighbors had multiple bushes (that also needed to be trimmed back); and one day we had a hard rain (not the normal mist that we get in Portland; the hard rain did not slow them down). Here is what was accomplished each day:Day 1: Removed all of the existing fence and hauled most of it away; trimmed landscaping as needed to fit the new fence (none of the other contractors included this in their price); dug post holes; set most of the pressure-treated posts for the new fence; plumbed the posts (made them vertically straight), and dry-set them in concrete to hold them in place; several taller posts were installed so they could be set deeper where the yard terraced"

"Initially black mold was found behind an electric wall heater in my bathroom. It required completely getting the bathroom because there had been a slow leak going on that created the black mold. So it was all new drywall flooring restructuring the walls and the floors. Then they put in new flooring a new toilet a new shower and a new sink along with an event fan and a couple of new lights!
