Electrical
"Rob and Dan came out to my home promptly to discuss the job and gave me an estimate at that time. Dan did the actual work a few days later, and was careful and did not rush and explained things as he worked. He also covered my washer and dryer to protect them when he installed a new ceiling fixture, and used his own vacuum to clean afterwards. Dan was so neat you'd never know I had any work done in my home at all- except that I have 2 new fixtures which work perfectly. The amount charged for 4 hours of work was very reasonable, much more reasonable than 2 other local electricians I've hired in the past. I will definitely call Cassella Electric for any electrical work I may need in the future."

"Not only did Aaron keep appointment times, he was very good about responding to many emailed questions that I sent He definately takes pride in his work and uses quality parts. . I am very happy that I hired him and I've already given is number to co-workers and family members. (One note: his initial email response to my ServiceMagic referral landed in my hotmail's junk mail area - adding him to my contacts corrected this.)"

"Arrived right on time, knew exactly what had to be done to fix a problem with an outdoor electrical panel used for hookup to an RV. Very professional, and just really nice guys as well. Will definitely hire them again if any type of electrical work is needed."

"I strongly recommend Eddie and his team to handle your electrical and lighting needs. I hired Eddie to install eight 4 inch LED high-hats in my living room in Westport CT. My house is a bit older (1960s), but Eddie had no trouble whatsoever in wiring the lights to my existing light switch in the wall. He was done in about 90 minutes and the room looks amazing. He took extra care not to leave a mess and brought protective equipment for the floors and furniture. He is very responsive, professional, and his prices cannot be beat! Fantastic."

"Wow! I couldn't be more thankful. If you are looking for an electrician. Look no further! He is truly amazing and very professional. He not only set up my chandelier and kitchen light. But also rewired mi bathroom and children's room. I was not charged a ridiculous amount or with any issues after the installation."

"I am very pleased with the excellent quality of the work by Mikell Electric. Spencer installed a new fuse box, outside fixtures plus wiring. He was courteous, respectful and prompt. He took the time to explain the process, timeframe and answered all of my questions. I have already had him back again for another electrical project."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
