Comment: During cool months, electricity usage runs about 80.00 a month (Dec, Jan, Feb) During hot months usage can exceed 500.00 a month. Upstairs is much hotter than downstairs. Temp. is not uniform between rooms downstairs. Would like to increase comfort and effeciency. Heating and cooling systems are only 2-3 years old. Have blown cellulose insulation in attic, unevenly distributed in some spots and only 5-6 inches deep. Have soffit and ridge vents for ventalation in attic. Have had proposals for radient barrier and to remove existing insulation and put in more. I need to determine what really needs to be done to improve effeciency and comfort.
