"Luckily we were fortunate to meet Michael Martinez who is an award-winning Senior Project Design Specialist, Consultant and Project Manager at Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape. Once we met Michael he immediately felt like a member of our family. He is extremely personable, honest and trustworthy with high morals and ethics. At our first meeting Michael took the time to get to know our family, strived to understand the goals and objectives of what we envisioned in our yard and how he could be a part of the solution to overcome some of the challenges in our backyard. He could see the bigger picture and presented design solutions to mitigate project challenges other contractors may encounter later in the job. Michael gave us a design that fulfilled many of the objectives to support the overall goals for our yard. He did an excellent cost to benefit analysis designing smarter which would allow us to get the best value. Considering the design, materials used, scope of project and Michael's expertise, his bid was very competitive. He made me feel very comfortable, and I knew that the plan was in good hands. Michael checked in often and wanted to start as soon as we received HOA approval. While waiting to obtain permission from our HOA to begin, Michael met with his job foreman Juan and us several times onsite to walk through the project. He contacted our other contractor to ensure everything would come together at the end of the project. Michael is very familiar with hardscape products which were very valuable considering the scale of the proposed work. Michael's on-site crew was always on time and had an excellent work ethic. They started at 8am and concluded at 5pm daily. During their day, there was minimal downtime. We only noted two 15 minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch. They minimized impact from heavy machinery and constant loads of materials coming and going from the site by covering where possible front yard landscaping with plywood. At the end of each day, Michael's team would clean up which my neighbors appreciated. He checked in on site daily to ensure the project was progressing smoothly and to address any project concerns or challenges immediately. If we weren't home he'd provide updates via phone or text. We never felt out of the loop and didn't have any surprises due to Michael's excellent communication skills. When weather didn't allow for construction to continue, Michael's crew would arrive and cover the site to minimize downtime. Michael always had our family's best interests in mind. We really like that Michael handles every aspect of the project. We didn't have to deal with a separate salesperson, designer, project manager, contractor or subcontractor; he manages it all giving us peace of mind. Having completed the first part of our project I felt compelled to write this review for the excellent five star customer service and end product we received from Michael Martinez at Black Diamond Paver Stones and Landscape, we"

"Durval came initially to discuss the project, gave me the estimate on the same night. I accepted the price. They came back the following week and started the work. I had them tear down my rotting pergola and shed, and cut down 8 Poplar trees in my yard. Work took them roughly 4 days. When project was done, they put everything back in place, cleaned up the place and hauled everything out of my sight. Very straightforward transaction. No BS. No drama. My kind of business."

"We found Sergio and Superior Concrete Designs by signing up through Angi. He prompted replied the same day and also came out to provide us with an estimate. Follow up texts and estimates were sent within 24 hours! We were given an incredible/honest price (we know that because a company we reached out to for a 2nd estimate, quoted us 5K!) Upon arriving, he was professional, knowledgeable and explained exactly how the work would be done. Sergio and his team were here on site the day after estimate was received. They were diligent and efficient and the project was completed that same day! Let me tell you, when we say, Sergio and his team went above and beyond our expectations, we mean that wholeheartedly! The finished product was more superior in design and matches the company name, Superior Concrete Designs! Not only did they fix our 11 in drop from the front exit to the walkway, the design was 2 tiered AND now offers a little offset where we can place a chair outside to enjoy a cup of coffee or read a book! The thing we thoroughly appreciated about Sergio is the pride he takes in his work/his business and I quote while he was also helping his employees do the work, he said, "I do it as though it was my house!" We were completely floored by that statement. Before he could even finish the job, we were already soliciting him for a quote for some backyard work (he does landscaping too)! As a homeowner, it's sometimes a frightful thing trying finding a contractor to do work on your home for many reasons.
