Comment: This is a very small project. Our condo development has a pedestrian gate that has a latch that is broken. The gate had a small metal rod projecting from it that is supposed to slip into a catch device on the post. Unfortunately, the rod somehow has been broken off and we need a new one welded onto the gate so the latch will work properly. I can send pictures of the problem if needed. I would think this is less than 1/2 hour to fix, and there's no huge rush, so I'm hoping someone can tack it onto another project that is in the area and not have to make a special trip for something this small. Comment: Last year we had a cedar fence installed which had metal posts. For a section of the fence, the posts are bolted onto the top of an Austin stone retaining wall. The bolts are getting loose from wind pushing against the fence. What I want is to have additional fence posts sunk into the ground (3-4') and then connect the new post to the old ones with welded cross bars. On the "new" posts, I want some brackets welded on as well so that I can mount cattle panels as trellises. Possibly the panels can be welded directly to these new posts...these type of details are what I need a contractors input on.
