Electrical Switches, Outlets & Fixtures - Install or Repair, Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade
"I have been a real estate Broker/Owner since 1986 and Tom McCaffrey is the consummate professional in all that he does... From the initial phone call by answering all of my questions and he answered all of them and made additional comments on the ones that needed an additional explanation which is rare for a contractor to do... In other words, he is very patient and knowledgable about all aspects of electrical work needed on any residential home or condo... He showed up when he said he would to start the job (hanging a chandelier, installing recessed lighting and under the counter lighting in our Kitchen - his work was some of the very best I've seen in 35+ years of being a real estate broker in Massachusetts..."

"Gustavo replaced the electric panel and did all the electric rewiring in our mid-century house in Chestnut Hill. He also installed a couple of dozen recess lights all around the house, exterior lighting, as well as very high-end lighting, like our large Tom Dixon chandelier above the staircase. Gustavo is very professional, kind and easy to work with and we felt he truly cared for all our projects. He was always responsive and reliable, finished his projects in a timely manner and we are very pleased with the quality of his work."

"I hired Tyler for all new home electrical wiring for the 2nd story of my house. We had demoed and remodeled the entire second story of my house. Tyler was extremely professional and helpful with all of our wiring needs. From new outlets to ceiling fans and everything in between. His timely manner, professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding. We will be using Tyler for all of our electrical needs from here on! I highly recommend using Tyler. His knowledge and skill brings peace of mind knowing that everything will be done properly and without issue is an amazing feeling."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesBarre Electricians are rated 4.9 out of 5 based on 110 reviews of 110 pros.
