They were out the next day after I called. The septic technician gave me very helpful information about maintenance and how system works.

Project: Pump Out a Septic Tank
Roswell, GA

Pumping cost not too bad, $425. Had to replace a PVC "T" going to drainfield, that was $950. Took about an hour because had to dig out more. Changing and adapting PVC took about 15 minutes. Once hole is open kinda hard to let them seal it shut not 100% functional, or leave it over weekend while finding someone else to finish job. Brother in Newnan had a quote for $600 for his, but found someone to do it for $200. Oh well, first Septic Job for me. Quite a bit wiser now. Since this happens alot, wise to ask contractor how much to fix the area going to drainfield before hiring them. Also, they do not replace the sod they have removed to get to tank. You have to do that yourself. They do put the sod in separate area. More time-consuming than I thought.
