Comment: I want to install central air into my home. Currently we use a boiler/radiator system to heat the house which is efficient, but we have no cooling options except for 2 small ac units in the windows of 2 bedrooms. This isn't enough to cool the house. So central air is our only option. Split systems won't cool enough of the house to be viable. The house is 1 story with a walk-out basement, picture windows in the living room and basement facing east. The main floor is 1193.42 square feet, and the basement is 1055.42 square feet.
