Ken did an excellent job of listening to what I wanted and found a great product for us, and the installation looks good. The installers, however, did not do a thorough job of cleaning up after the floor was installed and I will make sure Ken is aware of this fact. This is a brand-new house and our walls and baseboards are marked in several areas, a lot of dust still remains and there is a lot of leftover product that we will now have to store or get rid of and our new refrigerator door was dented during the installation process. Ken has assured me he will take full responsibility for the refrigerator door replacement. He was very professional, responsive and courteous in his dealings with me, and I would still recommend him (and have) to others, with the caveat that he needs to ensure his work crew does a better job of cleaning up and being more careful while they are working.

Of the four proposals made Floor Gem was gave the most information and was one of the few who claimed to be able to do stairs. They were indeed the most expensive; however, we were not disappointed in their work. The work started on time and the majority of the work was done in 2 days. The stairs took 3 extra days due to difficulties with installation of a banister. The team was very professional and hard working.

Installation was very good. Matching my existing floor color proved to be a little difficult. They rushed the staining process and it came out a little too dark. Ken was very attentive. I'd use them again, but I'd ask them to pay just a little more attention to detail on the finishing process.
