Reviews of Phoenix Laminate Flooring Installers

Project: Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring
Phoenix, AZ

They did an excellent job installing new stone tile to match my existing flooring. We had a problem matching the stone at first but they were able to find a decent match. My only complaint was that they forgot to include the underfloor padding into the cost of the estimate. I take responsibility for that because it was not in writing. I highly recommend Holtzman but get your estimate in writing so nothing is overlooked. The work was excellent.

Project: Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring
Phoenix, AZ

The install had to be put off for one day but I was given ample notice of this. They did a marvelous job and stuck to the original quote I was given even though they ran into some unforeseen glitches that caused more work for them. I am very pleased and would recommend them without hesitation.

Ideas & Inspiration from Phoenix Flooring & Carpet Contractors

Phoenix Laminate Flooring

From kitchen and bath remodels to rejuvenating other areas of your home, you may be thinking about your next home improvement project, and begin to think about new flooring. Whether your hardwood has seen better days, your carpet has reached the point steam cleaning no longer does the trick, or an old linoleum floor has simply become an eyesore you can no longer live with, many homeowners find laminate flooring is the ticket to new, beautiful, and affordable residential flooring. Laminate flooring in Phoenix is great for homeowners with high-paced lifestyles that demand minimizing home maintenance, and for homeowners who want the beauty of hardwood flooring without the high-end costs.

Alternatives
Laminate flooring competes with carpet and hardwood flooring as the most popular flooring installation in the Phoenix area. Though carpet is a soft flooring material, both it and laminate flooring are popular in bedrooms, living rooms, and even bathrooms. Hardwood flooring, alternately, tends to compete with laminate in bedrooms, kitchens, and dining rooms. In fact, there's hardly a room or area of your home where laminate does not serve as a viable flooring installation.

Carpet is, by far, the cheapest of the three in terms of initial installation, but it also requires significantly more maintenance, and doesn't last nearly as long as well-maintained laminate or hardwood. Laminate flooring is, in general, the easiest floor in terms of maintenance and is cheaper, in most cases, than hardwood. That said, more homeowners (and potential homebuyers) tend to covet hardwood flooring more than laminate.

To show that each of these three types of flooring have their own advantages and disadvantages, it's also revealing to note that all three floors have virtually the same number of service requests in Phoenix. Laminate flooring, as a relatively new option, will probably only grow as a flooring option in the years ahead.

Cost of Laminate Flooring
So, exactly how much does it cost to install laminate flooring? The average cost to install laminate flooring in Phoenix is about $4,000. Naturally, the size of the installation and the quality of the laminate you choose will influence the estimates you get from contractors. Recently, we've seen Phoenix projects cost as little as $1,500 and as much as $8,000, although if you're installing laminate flooring in multiple rooms, it's not unheard of to see costs range more than $10,000. To put this in perspective, the average cost of installation for hardwood and carpet is $5,000 and $1,700, respectively. No matter what your situation, you shouldn't give up on installing a new laminate floor until you've talked with contractors. The professionals may have cost-cutting ideas for homeowners working on a tight budget.

DIY Installation
One way to dramatically reduce the cost of your new laminate flooring is to install it yourself. Unlike other flooring, this can be a legitimate option for reasonably handy homeowners, but we typically advise against it if you're not sure what you're doing. Improper installation can void manufacturer warranties, and even laminate flooring panels that seem simple to install can take a weekend full of headaches to complete.

Flooring Contractors
Even if you're considering installing your own laminate flooring, it's a good idea to talk to a professional first. They may be able to provide you with pointers and explain common pitfalls homeowners fall into when undertaking their own flooring installation. Plus, Phoenix laminate flooring contractors will be able to give you quality advice about different laminate flooring manufacturers, such as which ones are worth paying a higher price for, and which manufacturers you should stay away from no matter what deal they may be offering. HomeAdvisor puts each and every one of our contractors through a rigorous 10-step screening process, and provides homeowners with a quality controlled customer ratings and reviews section. This will help to find only reliable contractors in your area, and contractors who are certified in laminate flooring installation.
