About us
Stonefox, the New York based architecture firm specializes in residential projects with a strong emphasis on detail, craftsmanship, and custom furniture design. Projects include residences, renovations, and lofts in Manhattan, Westchester County, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Austin Texas. Stonefoxs work will be included in the October issue of Architectural Digest. Chris Stone, AIA has over 10 years of experience in architecture and design. He began his carrier with Rafael Vinoly as a project architect on Philadelphias Kimmel Center. Stone graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design 1994 and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. His studies at the American University in Paris included a minor in photography and extensive research in 12th century and early modern architecture. David Fox graduated from Washington University School of Architecture in 1999 and studied abroad in Stuttgart, Germany. His studies at the University of Stuttgart included research on European modern and contemporary architecture. He worked for the firms HOK, Berlin and the New York firms of S. Russell Groves and Ohlhausen DuBois Architects. Projects included Giorgio Armani, The Green House Spa, and Polo Market Place and residential projects such as the Klein Residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico. With a minimalist approach, Stonefox espouse simplicity while being sensitive to each project's physical environment; taking light, landscape and their interplay with existing elements into consideration. With that they feel it is important to understand a client's philosophy and style, so that the finished work is not only beautiful, but also successful in its daily function. Stonefox provides comprehenisve client services to insure that the desired result is achieved.
