Comment: I live in a townhouse in Arlington. Last water bill showed a little more than double the use of a year ago. County came out and checked and found that water still ran fairly slowly with the main valve to the house closed. Many years ago, a copper pipe was installed between the meter and the house inside the original "plastic" one. House is 29.5 years old. Suspect that the copper pipe needs replacing. Water pressure in the house is normal.

No trees etc - grass and a narrow sidewalk to go under about half way along the route. Shout off is in an unfinished basement about half way up the wall. Length: from meter to wall about 33 feet.
