Kitchen Remodelers in Boston, MA (Massachusetts)

We had a great experience with this contractor up until the end of the project. He scratched one of the cabinet doors while installing it and took it off to replace it. We could live with one less cabinet door for a littlle while as he maintained he would get the replacement and install it. A few weeks went by and we didn't hear from him. We contacted him many times and he kept putting us off. Finally, we contacted the cabinet store and they said he never called to request a replacement cabinet door. At this time, more than 6 weeks had gone by so we decided to just figure out the rest on our own.

Pete and Brandon were great at handling things for this project from the start. However, one of the sub-contractors did a poor job on the backsplash that it had to be redone, thus 4 stars for quality. In addition, the wire got damaged during the uninstallation of the dishwasher that I had to pay for it and could only get 1/2 of the fee (paid to the electrician) back from Pete. I felt like they should be responsible for it, not me. But the final product was a nice kitchen that both of us really enjoy, and that's the key. Gutted my galley kitchen, turned it into a bath/laundry, and turned an unused dining room into an eat-in kitchen. Extremely good communication on phone and email. No surprises. No disappearing acts. Excellent crew and they do their best to keep the place livable during construction. Good subcontractors. Respectful of my budget. Familiar with South End brownstones. Has good contacts for cabinets, tile, granite, plumbing fixtures. Made useful suggestions for better ways to do things. Finished product looks great and functions great.
