"The gentleman was easily to work with. He was on time and was neat."

"We had been burned by fly by night contractors before. Rob assured us that he would restore our faith. He was right!!! He was dedicated, reliable, creative and a pleasure to work with every step of the way on an extensive master bathroom remodel. Along with Ken and Eric, he took the bathroom down to the studs and rebuilt us a 'getaway'. I feel like I'm stepping into a 5 star hotel suite shower everyday when I climb onto our new enormous mosaic floor. In addition to the bathroom, they painted 4 rooms and meticulously prepped every nail hole pop and cracked seam in our aging vaulted ceilings. The house looks BRAND NEW! I highly recommend and can't wait until we can have them back to remodel our kitchen."

"This is by far the best experience I have had with someone working in my home. Richard was very courteous and respectful. He came on time for the estimate and to get the work done. He wore shoe covers in my house even though I told him he didnâ t need to. He used drop cloths to protect the floors and cleaned up very neatly after the work was done. The price he gave me was better than any other I received. AND he works so quickly that everything was done ahead of schedule. I told him what I wanted done and took his professional recommendations. He went above and beyond my expectations. I donâ t usually leave reviews but I had to make an exception this time. I will definitely be contacting Coleyâ s Tiling again to work on my other properties."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
