They act as a general contractor and you can be as little or as much as involved as you want. For things we had strong opinions on we met with the subs also. "Alan did the design for our whole-home renovation including finishing an in-home garage as additional living space, adding an additional bedroom, a half-bath, and a new basement-level entrance. He also re-designed the kitchen, opening up walls and adding an island making this space feel much brighter and bigger. The results were amazing and completely transformed the house.
