"At our first meeting with Chris Alan, we followed our instincts and decided to hire him as our designer and project manager for a refreshening of our Mt. Helix home. He took a tour through our house, filled us with ideas, and came across as someone who was not only likeable but as someone who came with much wisdom, experience, and good ideas. We have recently completed this project which did not include any remodeling or construction per se. But things looked tired and out of date and he helped us update the look by adding hardwood floors, full house interior repainting, reworked wood/brick fireplace to new gas fireplace with stacked stone resurfacing and new mantel, new furnishings, lighting and light fixtures, and rearranged art and personal décor. We are very happy with the results. There are many positive things we can say about our experience with him. He is very "hands on" and does not leave you wondering what is happening next, nor does he leave any of his contractors without timely direction. The contractors he works with are reliable, prompt, and courteous, and in general the project was completed very efficiently. Although we began the project with an initial non-starter cost estimate to do everything he recommended we do, once we established a budget that we were comfortable with and drilled into the project details with him at the outset, he stayed respectful of our budget, helped us spend those dollars wisely, and stayed within the budget we established. Although he gave us a clear direction design-wise that he felt we should go, he listened to us about our objectives and concerns about the space we were creating and incorporated who we are into the final result. As a result, our home still feels like us but with a completely updated look that we are very happy with. We are happy to recommend Chris Alan."

"This was a complete landscape redo for our residence. The project included fencing and painting, repair redwood deck and paint, install pavers and fire pit, remove grass and install synthetic turf, large tree removal, hedge removal, destruction and removal of sidewalk and replacement with pavers, replacement of lawn with decorative rock and succulents/cactus, complete irrigation overhaul and installation of drip system, install landscape lighting.
