"Their work was better than I could ever imagine. Serviced big bear area. Also installed ceiling fan outlets and ceiling lighting before applying skim coat. Looks better than new."

"William installed a new sprinkler system in my front and rear yard. He also seeded the areas needed for new grass, added decorative rocks, and mulch in places we requested. The price for all we had done was lower than expected, and very competitive with other estimates i received from other landscaping companies. He is very professional, and a great person to reach out to if you need landscaping done at your residence. You will not be disappointed with the end result!!!"

"Worked with Brian to redesign front yard and side yard with another design company. Brian was very easy going, listened to what we wanted and came up with a great redesign within our budget. Brian and his crew finished the job ahead of schedule and we are very happy with the outcome of our new clean landscaping. Highly recommend Donahue Landscapes to anyone looking to do a project small or big. Thanks again!"

Small jobs welcome

"His professionalism in detail in the work was amazing. We are always a little inhibited and pulling people into the house to do a job because the quality is not always up to par. This gentleman came back multiple times to make sure everything was exactly the way we needed it. He was friendly and very easy to work with."

FAQs for design and decorating projects in Claremont, CA

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.

Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.

A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.

Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
