"I have really enjoyed working with Ryan throughout the entire process of design and building of my outside living area including exterior shower. I appreciated the way Ryan listens in the early process of providing guidance while also taking some of my ideas and implementing them into his design. Throughout the planning and design, I felt that I could trust Ryan to respond to my questions and take care in addressing all my concerns. Ryan built my house a few years back and after living in it for a couple years, I looked to him to assist in a redesign of a couple areas that were important to me such as a clear story glass aluminum frame. The glass and frame is such a marvel both in its design function but, also in the way of how it’s aesthetically placed to my existing roof lines. There have been several things that I have enjoyed working with him on including his design vision and eye for details. Ryan also works and hires the most qualified, talented and nice people. I highly recommend Ryan and his company, Johnson Custom Builders. It has always been a pleasure to have him on a project."

"We needed some room additions to our small house in Burien. After speaking with several other architects and seeing how flaky they were right off the bat, we were dreading the whole process. After speaking with Char once we knew we were in good hands. Her communication was perfect. We would have weekly updates to go over the process and discuss any changes or recommendations. We were on a tight budget for the building costs, so when we found a contractor that we enjoyed, they were able to understand and calculate an accurate estimate from her drawings that were within our budget. She was able to get all the permitting for the additions from the City of Burien within 3 weeks with no redactions. We would hire her again, as matter of a fact, we did hire her for another build/design, Immediately after designing the house additions, but we just ran out of money for that build. I even recommended her to several other friends with their builds."

The company only bid on what they needed to. They prepared my home with care by putting up protection for the floor and walls. They completed the job well and in a timely manner with pictures of everything that was done. I couldn't have asked for more. I'll hire them again to complete the portions that we deferred for the moment. Some of their competitors tried to upsell things that I didn't need nor want. Flashy fear does not play well with me.
