Customers say: Super punctual

"We needed an overhaul of our patio in a manor way. Kevin James met with me at my house and helped me design a new patio that met all of our needs. Kevin’s recommendation of materials (Belgard pavers) provided a very high-end appearance we were looking for. Kevin’s crew was wonderful to deal with and extremely professional."

"I called Jessica when my regular decorator was unable to help me redecorate my bathrooms and I was not disappointed! Jessica responds to all questions and phone calls almost immediately and I absolutely love her choices. My husband was not excited about updating our bathrooms until he saw Jessica’s mood-boards and now even he can’t wait to get started on the project. My only concern is that once the bathrooms are complete we will want to do more updating! Thank you Jessica and Dani! Would definitely recommend. I am a retired real estate agent so I have worked with many home stagers and decorators throughout my 35 year career and I think Jessica’s talents are among the best."

"

My yard looks amazing! People have been stopping to compliment us on how beautiful it looks! What a huge difference! Jeff is great! He came up with a great design and when I was not sure about a certain plant he gave me other options. So easy to work with and so knowledgeable. He and his crew show up when they say they will and are polite and courteous.  After the project was done, Jeff came back and walked the project and when he saw something that he didn't think was perfect, he pointed it out and is having his crew come back and fix it!

We will be using Kale again. Once you start beautifying you just want to keep going!

"The installation team - Dexter F. and Kamal S. - did a fantastic job with our master bathroom shower remodel. In only one day they removed a very large unused bathtub and original equipment builder-grade shower and installed a gorgeous custom-designed and fitted shower. They were very cordial, kept us informed as the day progressed, resolved an unexpected plumbing issue, and left the renovation area very clean. The window team led by Chris did a beautiful job removing and replacing the large, dated glass block window. We could not be happier with this expert teamâ s performance and the final product. Our design consultant - Luiz M. - even dropped by to be sure we were happy with the progress. The renovation went exactly as he had outlined during his initial consult. The entire renovation, from design through completion, is a prime example of excellent customer service and a high quality product. West Shore Home gets an A+ from our perspective."

FAQs for design and decorating projects in Huntersville, NC

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.

Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.

A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.

Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
