"As a testament to how happy we were with our first renovation provided by the Curtice Group in 2021, which provided completely new kitchen/dining/mudroom/bath, we hired Scott and his team again in 2024-25 for another major renovation. This job was composed of 3 main parts: a gut remodel of our main bathroom, renovation of a large attic space (about 700 sq ft), and whole-home conversion from steam radiators (gas) to heat pumps including removal of all radiators and a chimney. The bathroom now is attractive and more functional, the attic adds a large amount of useful space as an office/kid room/guest area, and central air makes a more comfortable climate. I’m a big fan of the design/build concept, because you really don’t want to separate those two elements into different contractors, and if you find a talented company, they can handle all aspects of the job fluidly. Scott Curtice has a real knack for design, he is attentive and cares about details, and he will perform carpentry and touch-up work as needed. Moreover, he handled all the project coordination so that we could do the jobs that we do well, which do not include home renovation."

"I hired Helene to assist with downsizing my elderly mother’s condo for a move from NH to Kansas City. I was impressed with Helene from the initial phone conversation, but even more so when she met with my mother for a consultation. She put my mother at ease, and they hit it off right away. I flew to NH to assist with the packing and sorting, and I could barely keep up with Helene. She works very quickly and is extremely organized, but she was very patient with my mother when sorting items to ensure her most precious items were packed for the move. She was extremely sensitive to my mother and hiring her was one of the best decisions I have made. Helene knows which items to donate where, which items are not “donatable” and she had a great trash hauling contact (JDog) for quickly removing old furniture, appliances, and MANY bags of trash. I spent a considerable amount of time with Helene, and she is delightful. The rest of the family couldn’t believe the progress we made and the fact that my mother was laughing throughout the process.
