"Tess has transformed my home, one room at a time, into a gorgeous (and functional) oasis. Visitors are always impressed with our home decor--a few of them now realize that Tess is the mastermind. She takes an overwhelming process and makes it manageable and fun. I love that she works with any budget and style, helps shape the vision start to finish, and allows for just the right amount of risk-taking. As a new mom myself, I especially appreciate that she can make spaces hard-working as well as beautiful. In addition to talented, she's just a lovely person to spend a morning with."

"I hired Richard for the design and specification work. Richard is an open, honest, conscientious and reliable person. His knowledge of the building industry and general contracting is amazing. He has a lot of experience to build upon. Highly recommended!!"

"As a testament to how happy we were with our first renovation provided by the Curtice Group in 2021, which provided completely new kitchen/dining/mudroom/bath, we hired Scott and his team again in 2024-25 for another major renovation. This job was composed of 3 main parts: a gut remodel of our main bathroom, renovation of a large attic space (about 700 sq ft), and whole-home conversion from steam radiators (gas) to heat pumps including removal of all radiators and a chimney. The bathroom now is attractive and more functional, the attic adds a large amount of useful space as an office/kid room/guest area, and central air makes a more comfortable climate. I’m a big fan of the design/build concept, because you really don’t want to separate those two elements into different contractors, and if you find a talented company, they can handle all aspects of the job fluidly. Scott Curtice has a real knack for design, he is attentive and cares about details, and he will perform carpentry and touch-up work as needed. Moreover, he handled all the project coordination so that we could do the jobs that we do well, which do not include home renovation."

"Daydo and his crew came with their bobcat to do some landscaping + install ditches for gutters + put a gravel ring around the whole house. They were professional. Daydo had vision, and proposed a few extra things (lowering a hill, black aluminum trim around gravel) that while I did pay for, was very happy with."

"I needed to re-design my only large closet in my home (old house) in order to incorporate my husband's wardrobe from his home out of state that was being sold. She organized itemized all items for donations by category, leaving me with a single piece of paper to hand over to my accountant. She then took away the donations and delivered them to my specified charity. She came with great solutions for organizing our "lack of closets" situation, helped me stay on task and complete all needed pre-work prior to the closet install. I would have never completed this project without her assistance. I found Helene to be upfront and honest but in an empathetic way, considerate of emotional attachment, systematic and efficient, non judgemental,  and pleasant to work with. She definitely has a gift for this type of work. I will definitely use her again."

"Marilyn and company were excellent, very professional wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. She kept me updated on everything going on and with the sale of your home, it’s a lot."

"I was completely blown away by the work that we had done. Lisa, who was the designer was very attentive and quick to return emails and really put a lot of thought into my project. She always responded to emails within an hour and was very honest with me when it came to ideas that i had for the project. She provided a detailed drawing of my property with her ideas for plantings, stepping stones, etc. this made my life very easy by not having to imagine what she was thinking. PJ, who was the foreman on the job was also a great guy and on top of things. He always had my best interests in mind when giving his opinion about grading the yard and what would be best for my children, which was my highest priority. Walter was one of the workers who did a lot of the grading and he was also in constant communication with me. Walter and PJ came up with, and implemented a swing-set area that doubled as a retaining wall to bring up the grade on the lower side of my yard and it came out amazing. We had some irrigation issues at first because some areas were being over-watered. Nick, who was in charge of the irrigation came out to my house multiple times, after all of the work had already been paid for, to make sure that my timers were taken care of and the grass remained in tip-top shape. After paying in full, I still got immediate responses from all parties in this company and they provided immediate solutions within a day or two. They could have put me on the back burner to handle current customers, but they remained attentive to my needs. I plan to use them for cleanups and for all of my fertilizing. I highly recommend this company to everyone."

"Akeva is an insightful organizer and talented interior designer whose work truly transforms spaces. When she redesigned our living room, it completely came to life—it felt warmer, more open, and intentionally curated. Her attention to detail, ability to balance aesthetics with function, and eye for color and space made a noticeable difference. She listens carefully to your vision and brings it to reality in a way that feels both personal and elevated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for any home project."

"Block Renovation provides extraordinarily good, thoughtful, and transparent design/project management services and they work with excellent contractors . The process of working with them was super efficient and easy. The team was knowledgeable and available. The quality of the work was outstanding, and the project was delivered on budget and on time. We couldnâ t be happier and recommend them most highly."

"The results were amazing. David and his crew came early and went right to work. They transplanted some very large hosta, pruned several flowering trees and bushes, and cut back several perennials. There was a huge amount of debris which they hauled away, leaving my yard â pristineâ and all set for winter. We will definitely use Edgar Landscaping and Construction agai.n."
