"Dee is fantastic! We loved the design Mike came up with for our backyard makeover. Then once construction started we realized we had made choices that needed to be changed. In every case Dee's suggestions (stucco the walls instead of paint, don't use DG next to the pool, run wood fence topper horizontally) turned out to the best. We are so glad we listened to him. Our finished backyard looks like an art installation but one where you can feel comfortable and at home. Now a year later we had them come back for a few tweaks and again Dee's suggestions were the right ones. We are happy we choose G & L and plan to use them again next year when we tackle our front yard."

"3d design brought to life!!!! So as anyone else would be - I was a little hesitant about moving forward with such a big project. I called a few companies in my area (well 10 be exact!) and Encore Builders was one of them. First meeting: Brandon and Oz came by to scope out the area and take some measurements. I have never done such a big project and expressed my concerns and they recommended we do a 3d design so that I can see what the outcome will look like. I was detailed in how I wanted everything to look and feel. I even had a little Pinterest board put together of the patio furniture I wanted so I showed that to Brandon and Oz and they ended up including it in the 3d design. You can tell theyâ re very experienced not only in the work itself but the design aspect. They were hands on throughout the whole experience and it made me comfortable in my decision in moving forward with them. They also showed me a lot of impressive before and afters so I knew what to expect quality wise. Second meeting: they came over and presented the 3d design. I WAS STUNNED. The rendered design looked beautiful and looked even better than the vision I had in my head. It was a no brainer for me to choose Encore Builders. It gave me the reassurance I needed to start this project. It looked so realistic and was obviously tailored to my backyard measurements so it was really to see how it would look in real life! Right then and there we set up a start date for a few days later. The outcome looked exactly like the 3d design - I was beyond impressed. Brandon , Oz and their whole crew truly work from the heart. You can tell they love what they do and do it with a smile on their face. Their customer service skills are 11/10 and they really are the best!"

"Our front yard needed some structure. Gadi helped design and build two entry pillars in stone masonry, plus a new walkway to the door. The old path was narrow and cracked, and the new one is wide and fits the property better. The pillars gave us a real entrance feel. They also ran low-voltage lights inside the pillars so they light-up at night. It's not flashy, just clean and sharp. The stone matches the front steps, and everything feels like it belongs now. Gadi and his crew kept things simple and stuck to our request. Would work with them again."

"I worked with Paul with Valley View Landscape to clean up and prepare my back yard for a garden. He and his crew did an impeccable job for an exceptional price! the job entailed creating better drainage for the yard, evening the grade of the yard, installing paver stones for my trash cans, and decorative landscaping of the strip of land closest to the house. Everything I requested was completed with skill and to my specifications. Even better the job was done in a timely manner and quickly. I highly recommend Paul and the crew for any landscaping needs you may have. I know I will be using him again in the future."

"The landscape designer was knowledgeable and provided creative ideas for our outdoor space. We were thrilled with the end result!"

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.
Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.
A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.
Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
