"Lazaro and Carlos were wonderful. Lazaro was very patient and helpful while selecting plants. Lazaro was fantastic with design. Both were fantastic to work. They designed a front and back garden and they look amazing! I highly recommend Horizon Landscaping and will be a return customer. Thank you Angie for the recommendation!"

"We had an amazing experience with John Krause Construction. We originally called them because our basement kept getting water in it every time it rained. While they were at our house for the basement waterproofing estimate we had them take a look at our deck and kitchen just to get an idea of the pricing. Once we received the estimate we decided to move forward with all of the work because we were able to get a great deal for doing all of the projects at the same time. We are beyond satisfied with the results and will definitely call them again for any future projects."

"This has been a wonderful experience and with the design help from Ms. Susan my kitchen has been totaling transformed to an updated beautiful place to enjoy meals with my family. I have new cabinets, appliances, and floors. The installers were on time, and cleaned daily before leaving. One worker in particular (Joseph) OMG was WONDERFUL!! "Berny Hintz is a super architect who values the customer/client relationship. His work is outstanding--we did not have a good idea of how to reformat our master bedroom/bath to make it useful and convenient to our house design. Berny came up with wonderful ideas. He has jumped through "hoops" when county permit issues arose. He created a 3-d visual of our renovations that we could view using the client version of the software. Berny has been realistic in time-frame of the design phase, construction phase, and cost expectations. We are just finished with design now and met with contractors."

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.
Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.
A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.
Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
