"Mudslingers did an amazing job taping, muddying and applying the knockdown texture in our basement. From start to finish they had good communication and were very professional. They also went above and beyond to protect the floors and misc. items and mask off areas to prevent and minimize dust traveling to other areas in our home. Definitely deserve 5/5 stars and would recommend to other homeowners looking to get their drywall projects professionally done."

"The tradesmen were professional, timely and worked **** ** my behalf. Friendly and upbeat, they accomplished their jobs on time and at the agreed upon prices for the two separately quoted sections of the job. Price for the drywall installation was $1800 and the fire taping for the seams was an additional $500. Thanks to Tom and the guys for their hard work."

"We had a dryer vent that had ruptured more than 1 seam due to a dryer repair. The vent ran across the lower level ceiling along the floor joists. Due to the solid ceiling in the lower level multiple holes needed to be cut to repair the vent. JC Drywall was contacted to quote on the repair of the ceiling and to match the texture of the current ceiling. Jim was prompt and courteous in the quote process. The quote was itemized and detailed. Due to some timing issues it was many months until we were able to fix the ceiling. Jim recalled the quote and was able to get us an updated quote based on increase in potential supply needs. We set up a timeframe for the repairs. Jim arrived on the scheduled date, he put plastic down and hung up plastic barriers to the rest of the home, used drop clothes to keep the carpets and stairs clean. The repairs took 1 day longer than anticipated as the drywall compound did not dry as anticipated. The ceiling looks great and there is no visible signs of the holes that were cut. Jim did a very good job. Jim was also came in under the quoted price. The only category that we couldn't give an outstanding rating to was punctuality. Each day Jim was slightly behind the time quoted to arrive, however it wasn't a major issue to us, and we would recommend JC Drywall for other Drywall needs."

"I am extremely pleased with the work done by Jude and his company, Beautiful Things Drywall, LLC. His cost estimate for our project came in more than 30% lower than other proposals. He was prompt in arriving to begin the project, and completed it over the span of two days, as promised. His work is top-notch, and he did a good job with clean-up afterwards. A few days later, we asked him to return to skim mud over the air bubbles that appeared after sanding, which he did the same day that we contacted him. He's been in the Drywall business for 18 years, and the high quality of his work reflects this. He will certainly be my first call if I ever need additional drywall work done on my home."

Load-bearing walls support the weight of your home's structure, including floors, roofs, and other building components. Non-load-bearing walls, on the other hand, serve only as partitions or room dividers. All exterior walls are typically load-bearing, even if they have design features like bump-outs or large glass panels. These walls need precise construction to ensure your home's structural integrity.
Removing a wall costs anywhere from $300 to $10,000 , depending on the size and whether it's load-bearing. Removing load-bearing walls is a more labor-intensive process and typically costs more. To get an accurate estimate for your project, consult a local contractor with the specifics of your wall.
Yes, there are other projects you can tackle at the same time when building a wall. Upgrading to energy-efficient windows or doors can enhance your home’s sustainability and can be integrated into the wall construction process. You might also consider removing existing walls to create an open-concept layout or building a home addition for extra space. Coordinating multiple projects can be cost-effective and streamline your renovation timeline. Discuss your goals with a contractor to help you plan effectively and maximize the benefits of your renovation.
The cost to build a partition wall varies depending on the size and type you choose. Half walls that don't reach the ceiling cost about $10 to $20 per linear foot . Full partition walls made with drywall may cost more due to additional materials and labor. Prices for accordion or panel walls vary widely based on materials and design. Factors like electrical work, insulation, and finishes will also influence your total cost.
Framing is the backbone of wall construction, creating a secure structure that supports everything else. Quality framing ensures that studs, electrical wiring, and plumbing are properly integrated into your home's design. A professional installer uses reliable materials like wood or metal to build a framework that meets building codes and ensures your wall is durable and safe.
