"Mr. Crichton discussed options and made a suggestion about the most cost effective approach.  Because he was patching and not replastering the whole area, he needed to match as best as possible the area around the patches.  The treatment of the patched areas are quite close to the surrounding old plaster.  His work was very good, and the room was left clean.  Mr. Crichton was a pleasure to work with."

"John came out to my house the day after I requested an estimate. He gave me a reasonable quote and and the timeframe in which he would be able to start the work. His advise and communication allowed me to finish the required demolition right before he started the job. He showed up right on time with his co-worker and did an excellent job. When he ran into an unexpected issue he called me immediately and went above and beyond to solve the problem that could not have been foreseen. I was so happy with the work that I asked him to come back and drywall and plaster the stairway leading up to the bedrooms so that everything looked like new. We had already scheduled new carpet to be installed before he could start the second job. He was true to his word and showed up a couple weeks later and did another excellent job and we couldn't find one speck of dust on the new carpet when they were done. I would recommend to get an estimate from J&M before making a final decision on who you decide to hire."

So his communication is quick and straightford. His drywall/plaster work is excellent--he removed and repaired a 3Ã 7 foot section of water-damaged ceiling-- it looks great and is ready to be painted with no additional prep! So: 1. Communication and scheduling: excellent, 2. Craftsmanship and Work-habits: excellent. What more can I say? "Bertie was recommended to us by a friend for some work that he completed in Jamaica Plain. We recently built a 2nd floor on our cape in Milton and needed walls and ceilings in three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway and stairwell. Bertie was prompt with his bid and was extremely flexible with his start date. He was finished with the entire job in less than four days, which was incredibly impressive. In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. I would absolutely hire Bertie again in a second if the need ever arises again."

"Their work was excellent. Only issue we had was the scheduling. I had a ceiling installed in the bathroom. Day one, carpenter did his framing and the 2 workers stated I would be called to set a time. However they were at the door at 8am. They were 45 minutes early the first day (7:15am) and I never even met Marcio for the initial inspection. He came early and my partner let him in. The painters painted the ceiling but went down onto the wall though I told them they didn't need to since it was not in the contract. They apologized and painted all the bathroom walls in return. I like these guys. They are fast, responded right away and did great work. They just need to communicate between themselves and Marcio a little better. Schedule issues were minor for me- I'm retired. If you need good work done quickly--I highly recommend them. The price was very reasonable, response time was fast , they cleaned up nicely and everything finished in 3 days: frame, drywall/plaster and paint. I would hire them again."

"I had 3 Angie's list pros give us an estimate. All were prompt and professional and fair in pricing for what they were going to do. We chose CD Plastering because Con seemed to get what we really wanted which was to get the walls ready to paint. Con and his helper, Mike, came on time and worked continuously all day. They took 2 breaks which didn't total 30 min! They cleaned up everything and took it with them. Con came back 2 days later to lightly sand the walls. We have asked for an estimate from him to smooth plaster all our textured walls and touch up some ceilings. Highly recommend CD Plastering."
