"Bob and Chuck did excellent work for us. They came to work both days right on time. The drywall repair was perfect. Final price matched the quote. They did some extra things at no charge! I highly recommend them and would hire them again!"

"The crew fixed some falling plaster on our bedrokm ceiling and was able to match the texture perfectly. They also fixed some broken boards on our wood floor and stained them to match. Overall the work was wonderful and done very quickly."

Customers say: Quick response
"Highly recommend for any drywall needs. Jim and his son are both very good at what they do. We recently built a house and J&M Drywall did the drywall for our house. It turned out excellent. Jim is priced very reasonable, communicated well, and he worked back to back days into the weekend to get the job done. We even had him back to do the drywall work in our recently built shop. 10/10!!!"

"In July of 2019, we received on short notice we would be having out-of-town guests. The bathrooms and kitchen ceiling needed painting, and the back bathroom sink & faucet needed replacing - things I'd intended to have taken care of, but had not gotten to doing. I posted an inquiry on Nextdoor.com and received three replies. I contacted all three: One did not reply; Inspired Services and another came over within a couple days and gave an estimate. Both contractors said they could squeeze us in between jobs. Although Inspired Services' bid came in slightly higher, there was something about Mark Laudato's professionalism and sincerity that made us want to go with Inspired Services, LLC. And are we ever happy we did! Mark and his crew did an excellent job all around. And the Customer Service is also excellent: A few weeks later, when I was cleaning the new faucet, I pushed too hard on the nozzle and loosened it a bit. I called Mark, and he came back and tightened it for us. We highly recommend Inspired Services for your painting and plumbing needs."

"Needed a soffit repaired after having a cabinet removed to make room for a new refrigerator. Also, some plaster wall repair, removing bubbled paint, priming and painting. He did all that plus a bit more. Scheduled on my timeframe and completed the work in a timely manner. Was pleasant and easy to work with."

Load-bearing walls support the weight of your home's structure, including floors, roofs, and other building components. Non-load-bearing walls, on the other hand, serve only as partitions or room dividers. All exterior walls are typically load-bearing, even if they have design features like bump-outs or large glass panels. These walls need precise construction to ensure your home's structural integrity.
Removing a wall costs anywhere from $300 to $10,000 , depending on the size and whether it's load-bearing. Removing load-bearing walls is a more labor-intensive process and typically costs more. To get an accurate estimate for your project, consult a local contractor with the specifics of your wall.
Yes, there are other projects you can tackle at the same time when building a wall. Upgrading to energy-efficient windows or doors can enhance your home’s sustainability and can be integrated into the wall construction process. You might also consider removing existing walls to create an open-concept layout or building a home addition for extra space. Coordinating multiple projects can be cost-effective and streamline your renovation timeline. Discuss your goals with a contractor to help you plan effectively and maximize the benefits of your renovation.
The cost to build a partition wall varies depending on the size and type you choose. Half walls that don't reach the ceiling cost about $10 to $20 per linear foot . Full partition walls made with drywall may cost more due to additional materials and labor. Prices for accordion or panel walls vary widely based on materials and design. Factors like electrical work, insulation, and finishes will also influence your total cost.
Framing is the backbone of wall construction, creating a secure structure that supports everything else. Quality framing ensures that studs, electrical wiring, and plumbing are properly integrated into your home's design. A professional installer uses reliable materials like wood or metal to build a framework that meets building codes and ensures your wall is durable and safe.
