No rain yet, so I can't attest to how they function when there's water, but it's keeping the sticks, acorns, and leaves out from what I can see. My only criticism would be when the sales person was at the house they said the gutters would be re-pitched, and the old hangers (spikes) would be replaced. When the folks came to install the leaf filters I was informed this was not possible due to how my gutters were originally installed. Thus several sags in my gutters would remain.
