"Pricey. We paid 8000 for 53 ft of gutter cover. Transferable Lifetime guarantee and the covers can be moved to new gutters if we replace the gutters. So I think it is worth it."

"Albany Seamless Gutters, LLC did a great job! We had them install a whole new front of house gutter, upgrade a few of our downspouts, add a downspout, and install a gutter on our awning behind our garage. Everything was installed with the utmost care and expertise. They had to pull some old warped wood off our back awning to install the gutter. They replaced it with green treated wood and installed a perfectly straight gutter for a not so perfect area! I would recommend this company to anyone! Service was good! We played phone tag for a few times, but other than that it was a great experience!"

"In the end, everything looks great. There were a few bumps in the road throughout the project.... Everything went well, right up to the point when they were putting the downspouts on our brand new seamless gutters. We do not have a "formal" entrance into our house. What we have is an attached garage, so everyone enters through the large (car) garage door when it is open, if it isnt open, they come through the service door. Well apparently, if BHR goes by the book, the right thing to do is to put a downspout every 40 feet. The side of our garage is 40'6". Which lead the workers to believe they had to put a downspout directly in front of the service door, or in our case, the entry to our home. Not only were they told to call my husbands cell if they had ANY questions (since anyone could see that this was a terrible place for a downspout), but I was HOME when they were drilling the holes for the downspouts. Anyway, when we walked around the house that evening we immediately recognized that there could not be a downspout in front of that door. I called into the BHR office the next morning @ 7:00. When Steven (the owner) answered, I was grateful, thinking that I got to talk to the person that could approve the change that had to be made. I was sorely mistaking. I have NEVER in my 40+ years been talked to or demeaned by another person as I was that day. He started off saying that there needs to be a downspout every 40'. I told him that we can't have people stepping over a downspout when entering our home. Not only is it a tripping hazard, but in the winter, it would be a permanent ice slick. Very hazardous for us, our kids, our elderly parents, and all visitors. We went back and forth for a while, a couple of comments that stick in my head were "well there is one thing that is for sure about the winter time, is that water tends to be hard, and therefore will not be shooting out across your slab" (we have a heated garage, so the water trickles down the gutters all winter long) and "we can PATCH the hole(in our new $1500.00 gutters), but we will not warranty that gutter since it is 6" longer than the 40' requirement". There were many more comments like that, that made me feel like a real idiot. At some point, I was so angry, I hung up on Steven and called my husband. Now, I did not want to get my husband involved, because he did not care for Steven when he came to give us the estimate, I chose to call BHR because I wanted the job done all in one day. Anyway, my husband called me back very irrrate and said that Steven said right away that he would have his crew patch it, but would not pay for the new 40'6" length of gutter we would need to make it right. After getting into a long drawn out argument about the gutter and my husband being told that "you fricking people dont know anything about roofing", my husband was under the understanding that BHR was going to replace the length of gutter at their expense. Well, not so much. Later when the crew got all the other downspouts on, my husband checked with them to make sure the gutter was being replaced. They said no, that Steven told them to patch it. So another argumentative phone call to Steven, and finally the crew replaced the gutter at no extra charge to us. We were not being difficult customers by any means, we just wanted what we were paying for, and were readily available if Steven, or the crew, had any questions. They should have knocked on the door, or called. Another small issue we had is that both my husband and I both had to have a tire patched due to a roofing nail in each. On a good note, the crew was very proffessional, respectful, and polite. They did get the roof done and the gutters hung in one day, which I was very grateful for. The next day the downspouts were attached and they were done and cleaned up by noon. As of today, 2/24/2014, the roof and gutters look great, and we have had no issues. It is very hard for me to give any good ratings below after knowing the owner of this company, but to be fair to those of you looking to have your roof done, I am rating on how well we feel the job itself was done.
I am sad to see that Steven has downgraded this situation to a mere "small misunderstanding". There is NO other entrance to our house. Besides the garage, the entire house is surrounded by grass. Why was this so hard for Steven or this crew to see? I understand that the code is a downspout every 40', I understood it the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd time he told me. That did not change the fact that I cannot have an ice slick outside the entrance to my home. So now the 40' 6" piece of gutter is not warranteed. The cash settlement was negotiated when Steven delivered the quote. His quote was that much over our the quotes we had from other roofers (hence the B rating on price) Oh, and dont think that Steven did not threaten my husband to not get us our rebate before agreeing to replace the gutter. What he says took his crew "five minutes" to do, does not include at least an hour and 4 very argumentative phone calls for us to get the gutter the way it needed to be. I did not know that 4 A's, a B, and an F would still equal an A, but like I said, I am happy with the quality of work, but an F for professionalism is a huge understatement. Steven was very disrespectful to my husband and I. If this is what he calls "above and beyond", I wish I could re-do my ratings. The [member name removed].
