The "biodegradable, eco-friendly" cleaning solution consists of a surfactant and a fairly strong bleach solution.. While bleach is biodegradable, I wouldn't exactly market bleach as "eco-friendly" -- but it did clean the house and roof very, very well -- and it was completely rinsed off by the crew. I'm not sure anything but bleach would successfully kill the mold and mildew, anyway. So, all in all, very satisfied with the job they did."
