Garage Renovation & Conversion Companies In Your Area

  • Geotek, LLC

"These guys are exceptional. A little pricey, but that's not unusual for this area. My favorite part is the owners are AMAZING - very attentive, quickly respond to emails, very accommodating, and routinely show up to check out the job and progress (which was RARE in my past experiences with other companies). I highly recommend these guys. They did two bathrooms and even laid hard wood floor in our master bedroom for us! Hope to use them again."

  • Virginia Home Remodel, LLC

"I step into my new master bathroom shower, surrounded by all the niceties of a total renovation. I shut my eyes and when I open them I have forgotten where I am. My tiny, 1970s bathroom is now a place of modern beauty and tranquility. Thanks to David and his skilled crew our renovation of two bathrooms was a 100% positive experience. VHR started and completed the project on time. David is honest, extremely knowledgeable, and easy to work with. His crew is skilled, efficient, neat, and hard working. In the time of Covid, they practice safety protocols. We could not be happier with the end result."

  • United Residential Contractors, LLC

"The design was wonderful, very creative. The workers were all amazing, hard working, did a fantastic work. Easy to have in our home. The addition was done while we were home and they were all very considerate. The project is amazing and we love this company. It is everything we expected and more! The owner was great to work with and the project manager kept us up to date with everything and kept us in the loop daily. He was very thorough and detail oriented. This team knows how the navigate the permitting process which also helped move things along. The final project is beautiful and spacious. It is even more the I imagined and completed our dreams for our home!! I highly recommend United Residential Contractors!!!! We are telling all of our neighbors about them!!! "

    Creative Energy Of Virginia

"Very good experience in dealing with Creative Energy. They gave an excellent price to begin with so I didn't have to negotiate pricing and they also provided helpful insight in drawing up an excellent design. Work was meticulous, they cleaned up well after completing the project. The only issue I had was the project extended well into 3 months, wish it could have completed sooner so that I could have enjoyed the deck that summer it was built. Other than that I would definitely recommend then for any future projects. "

    Parker Contracting, Inc.

"Was very patient with the process of multiple design iterations for my basement finishing project. Their bid was very low compared to other bidding contractors and they did the job at a high quality level. Additional requirements crept in throughout the project and their teams adjusted and adapted as necessary. Even with the additional costs associated with on-the fly changes, the total cost of the project was still lower than the next lowest bidder (and I am certain the other bidders would have gone higher with the changes as well)."

    JJ&K Custom Remodeling and Paint

"Overall good, but you need to be VERY specific about what is to be done, and get it in writing.. For example, the contract stated "new baseboards". I assumed that meant the old ones would be removed - nope.. (Actually, once it was discussed they did agree to do it correctly). Seemed like we had to constantly pick on lots of the little details to get things done right, but overall it was a good experience.."

    An Construction Company, Inc.

"I was very pleased with the work An Construction did on our bathroom. Han was very easy to work with and did a professional job. They cleaned up after themselves each day (except the tile guys were a little messy), were friendly and kept their appointments (again, except the tile guys). I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting similar work performed. "

Most garages are sold without ever being finished. The drywall is left unsealed or unpainted. There are large, uncovered gaps between the walls and the floor. Garage floors are often left as bare concrete. With just a bit of remodeling, you can make your garage more functional and feel like part of the house. Or, make it a part of your home by converting it into extra living space. Find a local garage renovation company that finish or convert your garage.

Garage remodelers can transform your garage from unwieldy storage to a functional workshop. They can even convert it into an extra bedroom or office. Some of the various things a remodeling contractor can do include:

  • Finishing the walls and ceilings and adding insulation
  • Sealing the concrete slab and adding stain or applying epoxy
  • Installing cabinets & countertops
  • Installing smart storage and organization for things like bicycles, tools, and sports equipment
  • Adding climate control via a free-standing evaporative cooling unit, a space heater, etc.
  • Converting the fixtures and doors to match the space's purpose
  • Adding plumbing

Local companies can complete long jobs faster, and they can recommend the best changes based on your neighborhood. If you are considering converting the garage into living space, be sure to consider whether this will add to or take away from resale value the ease of selling your home.
