"Dale was really great with communication and helped us come up with a way to fix our broken tiles. "
"It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend GradyÂ’s Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to GradyÂ’s Painting and Plastering & Construction by Service Magic."
"Prompt, fence/deck repair very well performed, Lucas and wife worked very hard all day to fix everything that needed attention."
"He responded right away to the query. The original job was to repair a leak in the kitchen. However, in order to fix the leak, he had to turn off the main water valve and noticed that it was also in need of repair. He fixed both the original leak and water valve for less than he originally quoted. "
"Does great work and has a broad array of home construction and repair skills. Very amiable, diligent and trustworthy individuals. I plan to use GLC again in the future. "
" I never write reviews, but this company exceeded all my expectations which never happens. Thanks Richard for coming so quickly to give me my estimate and fitting me in quickly on your schedule. Vince was so hard working and did such a wonderful job! He practically gave us 2 new bathrooms! Really excellent job with replacing grout, caulk, and cleaning the shower frame and glass. Everything cleaned up nicely and looks brand new! WOW! You guys saved me thousands from doing a complete gut job as I originally wanted to do. Thanks for doing some extras and cutting out the bad dry wall and floor outside the shower that was water damaged and doing mold treatment!! Vince did a great job putting the dry wall back. Thanks for going above and beyond!! I felt like everyone at Grout Doctor was genuinely trying to help me with my bathroom problem and worked hard to fix all the issues and keeping the cost down. Their pricing was also not the highest from the 3 companies that I received quotes from. So save yourselves some time and just hire them. Pricing is excellent. Workmanship is exceptional. Staff are all SUPER nice. Thank you Grout Doctor! "
"Very professional, excellent quality work. Helped with my final color selections - and gave professional advice. Provided a very reasonable estimate right away. Very efficient, clean working conditions. Also did my electrical work, floor and wall repairs. Highly recommend! It was a pleasure working with TLC. Will use them for all my home repair / painting needs moving forward."
"The owner came out very late at night on a holiday for our emergency leak and stayed very late to fix it. Would highly recommend"
"Melvin and one other worker came to restore and polish my marble countertops. They came roughly on time and finished the whole job in about 2.5 hours. Did a good job of cleaning the area afterwards. Overall, he did a great job, getting out the vast majority of the etching and marks on the marble. Only remaining marks were pretty deep chips that he said would lead to the marble being uneven if he tried to get rid of them (he would need to grind down even more). Clearly has lots of experience with this. Also gave me a discount. "
"They gave me multiple estimates for way to fix our leaking shower. Both the estimator and the technician were very knowledgeable. The work was scheduled with a week. They arrived on time and were completed quickly. "
"The best experience for a challenging bathroom total remodel. Gary's team is top notch and we always felt he was available to answer our questions and overall make it goes as smoothly as possible. I love my new spa bathroom. "
"The company was very easy to work with and did an excellent job. "
"It was great. They were wonderful to deal with. They made everything right. "
"Excellent Customer service, high quality drywall finish and completed on a timely basis. I highly recommend DC Drywall & Finishing."
"The employees was very friendly and did a very good job. I would recommend this company to others."
Tile surfaces are built to last. But individual tiles and lines of grout can break down over time. The tiles along your home's walkways can wear down and lose their shine. The grout in your kitchen's backsplash absorbs stains. Some of your shower tiles may become loose if the grout cracks. But surface-level damage doesn't mean you have to replace the tile surface altogether. Find a tile repair company in your area that performs a wide range of repair and restoration services.
Other types of flooring and bathroom or kitchen surfaces have to be completely replaced once there is damage. But expert tile repair services can isolate damage and replace only what can't be saved. Look for companies that:
If you have old grout or a few shattered tiles, you don't have to replace the whole surface. Type in your zip code and HomeAdvisor will find tile repair services in your area.
It costs about $425 to repair tile, or between $260 and $600. Price factors include the location of the fix and the materials used during the project.
Grout repair projects cost between $180 and $420. Price factors include location and size of the area.
These are a few symptoms of a larger problem that may require repair or replacement:
People experienced with DIY can make some repairs. However, there may be underlying problems that are creating issues with your grout and tile. If not evaluated by a professional, repairing on your own may just treat the symptom - not the problem.
Regular cleaning is imperative to slow mildew growth and staining. Establish a cleaning routine that works for you and hits your tile and grout at least once a week.
It's also possible to seal grout, and have it professionally cleaned, which can extend its life.
