We hired Vicente Painting to do several different jobs on our home. The exterior hasn't been properly maintained for at least 10 years so all of the windows & trim had to be hand scraped, holes filled, cracks caulked & multiple coats of primer to seal everything before Painting. We opted to go with complete exterior paint services and we are so happy with the way everything turned out. Everything was completed on time & with no extra costs even though rot was discovered in a few problem areas of the home. We also had our deck repaired, rot was removed & new deck boards were installed. The deck was pressured washed & cleaned before staining it, Chris does fantastic paint & stain work and I would highly refer him to my family & friends as he was so easy to work with & super friendly to us and family. In the beginning, it went ok, it took a lot longer than I anticipated but understood there was a lot of work to be done, started the project late summer and did not finish until end of December and actually it is still not complete. It has been extremely hard communicating with Chris (as you can see from the messages back and forth). He would forget some tasks he was signed up to do... and right now I am trying to get him to finish 3 small tasks to complete the project (finish handing the molding on the ceiling, finish hanging up one of the outdoor screen and repair the kitchen pantry light (very small inexpensive fixture) as he said he would do. His truck broke down at the beginning of the project and he left it in front of our property for months. When I addressed it with him (because parking is limited in Lawrence and is congested and our tenants; one of whom is in hospice with terminal cancer was concerned), he got defensive saying it is a public street. He has not responded to the last couple of texts that I sent him to finish the job and unfortunately, he has taken a project that I would have probably given him more work and turned it into something that is not a great service since these are the type of businesses I can find on my own without; ones that do not respond and that have communication problems. Owning a 3 family with a cottage, we have people come to work on the property here and there and I can assure you the key is getting the job completely done, and communicating is so important. I am only reaching out to you because he is not responding and I do not know what to do. I have contacted you a couple days ago regarding this but you never responded. Please advise because given the way both the handyman and you are not communicating I will not use in the future nor will I recommend to anyone.

Chris did outstanding, high quality work at my home. He re-caulked 24 windows and repaired damaged vinyl siding. The attention to detail and care with which he worked was impressive. He demonstrated skill and experience in these tasks, and the results were better than I could have done myself (and I consider myself a high-functioning Iâ d-it-yourselfer). He communicated well, and showed up promptly each day, working over three extremely warm days to complete the work. He was cheerful and respectful throughout. He completed the work for the estimated amount. The cost for his services was very reasonable and I look forward to seeking his services for the next project. Christopher Vicente replied to my messages immediately and arrived to do the job as scheduled. He replaced a flood light, cleaned my gutters, installed gutter guard and secured loose vinyl siding. Christopher at Vincent Paint and Handyman was very responsive to all of my messages and request throughout the process! I had some plumbing done first then once satisfied there was no more leaks Christopher repaired the sizeable drywall hole in our dining room ceiling, matched the texture of the rest of the ceiling perfectly and then painted the whole ceiling! We Couldn t have asked for more! My wife and I highly recommend Christopher and Vicente Painting and Handman for this type of work. Prices weren t the lowest or the highest we were quoted but were reasonable especially considering the quality!

Christopher removed a chain link fence and some painting was done. Christopher walked off the job and had to hire another company. When he walked off the job he didn't get the amount of money he requested he refused to take a check demanding cash. Chris said he would be in on Saturday but did not show stating he had something else to do, I ask him if he would be in on Monday and he said yes, never seen or heard from Chris again. Chris knew there was a dead line to finish the job and job was never completed. On Thursday 5/30/19 i asked Chris can your friend help out and did not give an answer. On Friday 5/31/19 Chris showed up in the morning with a big chip on his shoulder and i ask Chris whats wrong and he complained about us questioning his work and about us asking about his friend coming in to help out and Leanne which is my girlfriend informed Chris the only reason i brought up your friend is cause from the start you mentioned that if you got behind you have a friend that can help out so Chris got upset.When Chris requested payment we payed him and informed him will pay the balance when he came back. Wrote Chris a check of the balance and would not take it Chris wanted cash so Monday June 3rd. 2019 he was to come back and no call no show. Chris never worked a full day always had excuses to leave early. I would not hire this company or Chris.

"This client attempted to renegotiate payment rate and terms after I started work. There were only 2 actual facts in that review, 1st. I did start paintwork, 2nd. I definitely did not return to do anymore work. Im a small company, but do great work for my clients. I expect the same level of mutual respect from people, just because your paying me it doesnt mean you may speak to me anyway you like. I never made excuses, my good work was a testament to that. your failure to pay off your initial deposit is why I didnt continue work. you made excuses when paying only part of your deposit. My hours and Receipts are available, please try and respect"

Chris is a really nice guy who hand scraped, primed, and finish painted my three porches. They came out absolutely beautiful! You can tell he enjoys his work. I hope to have him back again for some more painting and assorted other projects. I highly recommend Chris!!
