RV Gaston was wonderful to work with, from returning phone calls immediately, arriving when he said he would, to doing a great job with a frustrating repair. He replaced a bedroom door for me in an old house that gave him every challenge. He tackled each one with a great attitude and did a marvelous job. I would highly recommend him, and you can be sure I will be using him again.

Excellent experience! He is honest & trustworthy. He keeps his word to you which is very rare these days because most contractors don't keep their word. --Sic.-- Darin did a great job of diagnosing & then fixing a leaking roof! He is very knowledgeable about his trade & can explain things to you so you understand what is really needed while some other contractors take advantage of your lack of knowledge & try to oversell you. He also did work for two other people I know & they were completely satisfied. He is well worth the cost for his expertise & competence. I personally run my own construction surveying company for 25 years. We surveyed really large construction jobs: PNC Park, Heinz Field, The Convention Center, etc. I'm now retired. I am well experienced in this business. Darin is a "keeper." You won't be sorry you used his service. He will put a smile on your face. :)

He was very friendly, from the first time I talked to him by phone I just felt he was someone I could trust. He was very knowledgeable about the repair to my roof and what needed to be done to fix it. He was very reasonably priced compared to other estimates from other Home Advisor contractors. I have already referred him to two of my friends. He is now my #1 Handyman.

Was contacted by R,V. Gaston Jr the next day. Very professional. Came out to observe my project, my estimate was in my e-mail that night. Contacted him the next day, he would do the job Monday or Tues., Called Monday, came in the afternoon and completed the job. Also does excellent work. Great Handyman. Very Satisfied.

RV Gaston of #1 Handyman Services came to the home (new construction, I m not fully moved in yet) over a month ago, looked at the work, said he needed to finish a deck job first and asked for the garage door keypad code so that he could come in and do the work at his convenience. I gave him the code and added that I did not know how to change it; he said he would show me how to do so when he came to do the work. I also told him I would prefer to be there when he came and that I could usually be at the house with a half-hour notice. I left a detailed list for him at his request and... never heard from him again, despite leaving voicemail contact attempts. Now I have no work is done and a man who has access to my house through the garage door keypad code. I thought this would be an easy, quick and friendly process, and convenient for Mr. Gaston, as well, since he lives four miles or less from my property. I also hoped to employ him for larger projects at the house from which I am moving and need to sell; that house is located about five miles from Mr. Gaston s home. I m desperate to find a responsible person to do the work Mr. Gaston is apparently not.

Installed three sets of exterior window shutters. Did a great job in minimal time frame. Excellent craftsmanship and very good cleanup after work was completed! Will definitely use this service again for other projects this year.

R.V. did an amazing job repairing dry rotted wood on the outside of my house. He came the same day I called to do an estimate and then the work was completed a few days later. He was thorough with his work, timely, and very good. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to get work done on their house. I will call him again next time I need work done without a doubt!
