Reviews
Write a ReviewHe was very detailed in his inspection and very clearly explained his findings.
Informative and thorough. Found issues I would not have known about if I did not have the inspection.
Good
Very thorough inspectors. I highly recommend to homebuyers and home sellers.
Before buying our house, we had it inspected by 1 True North Home Inspections. He didn't examine the bathtub or its spigot and water flow for leaks or any other problems. After the very first use of that tub, we discovered that the water was rapidly leaking through the floor and onto the kitchen below. We discovered that the tub had a serious leak. After that, we had repair people come to take a look, and they said that apparently work had been done around the drain of the bathtub in an apparent clumsy effort to fix this problem. They also said they noticed signs of previous leakage in the kitchen ceiling under the tub. All this should have been noticed in the inspection. We hired a contractor to remove and replace the tub. When the old tub was removed, we saw it had terrible rust and a sizable hole, which was the source of the leaking. It cost us about $3500 to fix all that -- and we were quoted far higher by others. 1 True North's incomplete and inefficient inspection was deficient and could have saved us time, trouble and money if he had noticed this situation.
This is not true. As I explained to you at the time of your initial call, I ALWAYS run the tub and shower as part of every bathroom and every inspection. It was not leaking, and as I showed in the pictures I took of the ceiling under the bathtub on the day of the inspection there was NO sign of a leak. How could they have noticed 'previous' leaks when the area was already wet from the leak that happened AFTER the inspection?!? I am sorry that this happened but as I have explained to you before the pipes in this house are 30 years old and they can fail, it happens.
They were very professional, thorough and helpful.
Tim was lightning quick in responding to questions, thorough and professional. He was at the inspection site 30 minutes early and had started inspecting the roof. His quote was also very competitive. We had the inspection report a couple of hours after the inspection. Could not have asked for more. Definitely a 5 on 5.
They graciously accommodated a Sunday weekend afternoon requests and were the most customer oriented Company. I give them 10 stars !!
He is awesome!! Explained almost everything and gave valuable suggestions on maintenance of various items.
Tim went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The items Tim found would have caused problems in coming years. Was not sure home inspection was needed on new construction, but very happy we did it for both pre drywall and final walkthrough. Well worth the money spent
