They did not show up until noon, they were there until 10, no one installed the sink, the stove or they over the stove microwave. I called they back, and they finally came out on Saturday, his dad came out and put in the appliances, but when they went to install the microwave, they took out the inside of the microwave, breaking it in the process. So the tenants in this house could not use the kitchen for over a day. They were supposed to take out the old tile when they installed the new countertops, but they left the old drywall on the wall. They were supposed to cover it with granite all the way up to the cabinets, but only went up part of the way. When I called back, I was told they were finished. I called and called and they would not return my call and would not respond to my emails. He promised to send someone out and they never showed up. They did not fix the microwave for me that they broke. The drywall had 6 inch holes in it, and I ended up having to have another contractor come out and fix everything which cost me a lot of money On top of it, I lost $650 in the microwave and then I had to buy another one. He orignally said he would credit me $400. He began threatening to put a lien on my property, calling me a thief. I ended up having to pay him more money to get him to leave me alone.

"This customer stopped her job and asked us to leave the job during the installation process. Furthermore she refused to pay her balance. She did not allow us to return to the job site to finish our work which we were more than happy to do, instead she hired someone to come and repair a wall that was damaged during the installation process. We gave here $493.00 in credits which left her a $500.00 balance which she paid. We deserve to get paid on every contract that we do. This customer seemed to think its alright not to pay their balance owed to a family owned and operated business. We could have put a lien on the house which we choose not to do because she settled her invoice. Also it seems that only when customers have something bad to say they come on to Angie's List and create a new account to voice their oppositions. With over 10,0000 happy customers we are one of the best companies out there. We always provide as many referrals, pictures of previous job sites and anything else a customer wants to make them more comfortable before they sign a contract. Furthermore we guarantee all of our customers are 100% satisfied. Sometimes no matter what you do you just can't make everyone happy. Here a a few reviews from previous customers: All of our customers can be contacted to confirm their review and the authenticity of their review. Installers are polite and professional." [member name removed] gave you 10 out of 10 when asked how likely they were to refer your work. [member name removed] said: "Your installers were amazing, like heart surgeons. Ours was not an easy kitchen because it's and old house (no straight walls) on top of old (out of square) cabinets. I've already been recommending you to everyone who's been wooing and aahing over our kitchen." When we first did our kitchen remodel, PJ came out to the job site. His crew was really good. I was not as impressed with his workers that did the master bathroom. They left without payment and left a mess behind. However, PJ has always been personable and comes to the job site for our big projects. The second crew was not up to snuff as the first crew. PJ has done great work. PJ was very responsive.

I bought a slab of granite and they cut a fire place surround for me. I did not use the entire slab. They stored it there for me for free. They said they would try to sell it and split it with me. I ended up having them cut a little entry top for me. They installed for me as well.

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! The installation of my vanities is poorly done, and they had to come back multiple times to try to fix it. First the company had to push back my initial start date because they failed to complete another project. Once they came to my house, they installed my bathroom vanities without the filler between the wall and the vanities (and it was initially ordered from the beginning). The filler is a piece of wood between the vanity and the wall so the vanity isn't completely against the wall. The company had to come back again to install the filler for me on a different day but, they failed to install the filler in on the base of the vanity. So now what it looks like is a mouse hole between each vanity and wall. The company refuses to finish the job stating "we never put a filler in on the base".

I liked the quality of the material. I liked the contact person I spoke with on the phone. I liked their reliability in terms of scheduling and showing up when they said they would. The only complaint I had was that the installation was somewhat flawed. They did come back and fix it, but it was not perfect the first time. The overall experience is good. In the end, I am happy. I would use Stone Expo & Tile Corp. again.

I have a toddler so they were very careful as not to create a lot of dust in my home. They were prompt, cheerful & courteous they took the old tile with them along with a few other items as a favor. I've used this company several times for my kitchen counter tops, my tile flooring and my entire bathroom renovation. They do EVERYTHING. They are licensed contractors with a bond and a 2 million dollar insurance policy. I wish I knew they did kitchen cabinets (Got mine from Ikea which are particle board) there cabinets are solid wood. They warranty their work for four years which no other granite installer would do. After everything was done I couldn't be happier.

The experience wasn’t the greatest. I wasn’t real happy with a couple of defects in the granite. They said that they can’t fix it because that is the way it is with natural materials. It was cut in a jagged way and they couldn’t fix it either. There was argument between the cabinet maker and the granite person who screwed up the way the granite fit up against the cabinet. They promised at the beginning when they did their sales pitch that they would give a free cutting board to match tile. It took like four calls and I got that six months later. They were very slow with most of stuff.

Overall, they did a good job. Their price was great. A team of 4 installed arrived on-time and set to work to demo my existing sink and countertop. Per my instructions, they kept the old sink intact and placed it back on to the new countertop when they were done. Three issues came up during installation:
1) I have a very limited area for my backsplash due to a window above the sink. I should have asked them to cut the backsplash a little bit shorter than what they did in order to make it fit properly. The way it ended up, the backsplash doesn't quite sit flat and I had to add a lot of caulk to make it look smooth. (I take responsibility for this one)
2) I have a small countertop space next to the stove (~1 foot long) that they did not focus on during the installation because it was a very small piece. Consequently, they forgot to seal that section and didn't level it properly. At a glance it looks ok, but at a closer inspection that small section is not level and I should have caught it before they left. (partially my responsibility, partially theirs)
3) The BIGGEST ISSUE is that they made the final cut-out for the kitchen sink INSIDE my kitchen. That created a cloud of granite dust that settled on everything in my kitchen. I had to throw out all the food that was laying out and spent the next 2 days washing every single piece cookware/glassware/etc. that was in or around my kitchen.

Pros:
1) I have a long section of countertop where they had to cut-out and join two slabs. They did a good job of making the cutout and leveling that section of countertop so that the seam is nearly invisible.

Bottom Line: I recommend Stone Expo if price is the #1 concern. But I highly recommend that you empty out your entire kitchen before they arrive, be prepared for a lot of granite dust, and try to be detailed oriented for them. (i.e. make your own measurements prior to them cutting the backsplash, and make sure everything is level before they leave)

I as a customer had a trouble getting through them because they have block system on their phone line. Once they get to know then they would pick up the phone. I chose them and they were excellent on professionalism, price, quality of work etc. Everything went smoothly. They came when they told they would come and they did an excellent job. They removed the old countertops and made necessary things. The clean up was great and beautiful like it wasn?t there. The price was reasonable.
